The inter-house sport competition

All work without play makes Jack dull, right?

I also believe in the quote above,a little bit of fun should be added to our work life whether you are among the working class or a student. To add fun to the learning process and also put a pause on rigorous school activities, inter-house sports are usually organized by schools, and different activities ranging from matching, racing, football matches, fashion parades, and dancing competitions are part of the fun activities during an inter-house sport, parents are also invited to take part in the fun activities.

In my daughter's school, they are usually classified into four houses to compete together and each house is differentiated by the color Pink, green, blue, and yellow houses, at the end of the competition, the winning house that has the highest score gets the gold medal, the biggest cup and other sponsored prizes. The last time I took part in a physical competition was during the last inter-house sport organized by my daughter's school, it was a very lively event, watching the children having fun and parent likewise, relieving us from the day to day hustle for a moment, I took part in the racing competition among parent,

We were about 16 parent divided into four section and we were arranged to pass the baton to the next person at different lapse, I represented Pink house and was in the second batch, My first team member tried as he was an agile young man bring the bat in to me, I collected and ran as fast as I could, thinking we were going to come first, but sadly we didn't, infact the woman I gave the baton to, fell down flat on the floor like a mango tree as she was in the big side, which erupted laughter and sympathy from the crowd, I wonder why she accepted to be part of the race, I guess she just wanted to free herself a bit, but ended up getting injured, the medics were on ground to render first aid treatment to anyone injured, so she was attended to, the last man on my team tried to catch up with the other team but ended up as the third, blue house first and yellow house first.

Did I feel bad about it?

Of course yes😁 no one likes losing, and it was all part of the aggregate score at the end of the sport, our children were looking up to us to add up to their points so they could get the golden cup, Pink house ended up as second, at least we tried and that ended the day well. Overall we all had fun.

Such an event teaches us not to take life too hard and learn to relax and have fun every once in a while, also parents were educated to learn to exercise regularly as it is also part of maintaining a healthy lifestyle, losing weight, healthy heart and look fit.

That's all about the last physical competition I was involved in.

Wow... Interesting story!
I know she must have felt so bad falling and causing you people your marks. We the elderly ones hardly engage in such exercises that's why whenever a time like this comes for us to be part of a competition we showcase allot of drama there... I believe she will do better next time...
Nice piece
