🇳🇬 NIGERIA, My beloved country, hoping for the best

Nigeria is a great nation, and I'm proud to be a Nigerian, located in the western part of Africa also known as the largest country in Africa with over 230 million in population. I was born and raised in the city of Lagos, located in the western part of Nigeria, which is the largest city in Nigeria though not its capital. I'm truly from the southern part of Nigeria, which shows how we peacefully cohabit with each other irrespective of our ethnicity, religion, or tribe. Just so you know, Nigeria is inhabited by 250 ethnic groups that speak about 500 different languages, but the main ethnic groups are the Yoruba, Hausa, and Igbo.
Nigeria is a blessed nation, irrespective of the bad news flying around about us from our different rants and complaints due to the bad governance we are faced with. I wouldn't want to bore you with that for now, so let's face the things I'm proud of about my country.
Agriculture and Natural resources
source
We are blessed with very fertile soil In most of the country which makes us one of the world's largest producers of food and cash crops like palm oil, rice, millet, cocoa, tubers, etc therefore creating employment for people, especially in the rural environment. Also, we are blessed with some natural resources like crude oil, being the main revenue of the country's economy, Gold, limestone, Coal, etc.
We are hardworking
source
Someone once said there is no part of the world you won't find Nigerians, that is so true, due to our never giving up attitude and always hoping for the best, we put our best in whatever we do wherever we are, the reason why we are always noticed wherever we find ourselves. We also can adapt even in the toughest of times, recently, our country launched a new policy, a cashless policy which the most population of the country was not used to, it was very difficult at first, we taught we will not survive, just a few weeks from then, we have started adapting, a lot of us who had no bank account before now do, even petty traders, to show that we are strong-willed and resilient.
We are intelligent
I don't think there is anywhere in the world where we are not noticed for our intelligence from writing, think, ChimAmanda, to the music industry, misic legends like Asa, Wizkid, Burnerboy, to the movie industry Genevieve Nnaji, etc even our Nollywood is getting better every day, I recently watched a Nollywood movie titled Brotherhood, and I was really impressed on how far we have come, moving on to sports, Nigerians are also noticed in major football clubs, like I stated before, we give in our best at all time.
Our rich culture and food
source
I mentioned in my introduction about our diversities of culture, we are all beautiful and unique in our way with different traditions, food, clothing, etc you should try a Nigerian meal, starting from the most controversial one 😃, the Nigerian Jollof rice, we are yet to see any other country beating this wonderful delicacy of ours, we have lots of mouth-watering, healthy and delicious delicacies from our different tribes that if I start mentioning more dishes, we won't end this post today.
Also, we don't have natural disasters occurring in this part of the world, like we see it occurring in other countries of the world, these are things we don't have control over, I'm always very shaken when I watch the news of these occurrences, it's so sad and heartbreaking, I'm glad we don't experience such here.
We are also beautiful inside and out, most Nigerians are usually termed busybodies, that is, not minding their businesses, but this act most times comes from a place of care.
With all that being said, Do I think Nigeria has all it takes to help me develop as a person?
If Nigeria was governed by the right set of people, this question would have probably ended with a yes, but the sad truth is NO, we are still far behind in a lot of things, ranging from quality and practical educational system, stable electricity, insecurities in some part of the country and the list goes on. The majority is also due to bad governance as the people at the top are mostly selfish and tend to neglect their promises when they attain power they instead focus on how to loot the country's funds for their unborn generation.
If I could leave for another country, would I?
Yes, I would, as a fashion designer, to widen my knowledge in this field, I would need to leave the shores of my country, get to know the way of life of other countries, and broaden my knowledge, fashion is not limited to a location, it explores. Also if Nigeria gets to be ruled by a better government in the future, provide basic amenities for its citizens for instance like when emergency situations arise, so we don't get to lose people we love who might have the chance to survive if they resided In a more developed country, till then, I will always be on the part of relocating.

We just hope and pray things get better in this country because it's not easy at all.
I pray so everyday because this is our home, no where else is.

A nation endowed with Agriculture and natural resources is a blessed nation. Her citizens shouldn't lag in some aspects if her government utilizes the opportunity available. I agree with you that Nigerians are resilient and hardworking and that's why we survive whatever comes to us... leaving the country as a fashion designer to widen your knowledge is great if the opportunity comes knocking.
Nigeria can be great again with good leadership

Yeah, we have everything it takes to become a better nation, God has blessed us richly, but our leaders embezzling and diverting funds makes it seem impossible.
Italy on my mind first😁.

Italian glorydee 😂😂❤️👍🚶
Your country sounds very blessed indeed - agriculture means for the country and natural resources means often agood economy. However as the governance is not good I understand that you wish to depart if you cannot develop further. I hope the situation gets better soon enough.

Your country sounds very blessed indeed - agriculture means food for the people and export and natural resources often means a good economy. However as the governance is not good I understand that you wish to depart as you cannot develop further. I hope the situation gets better soon enough.
