DIY // CREATING A UNIQUE BEADED BAG WITH BLACK PEARLS.
Hello everyone,
A wonderful morning to you all. Today I'm excited to share with us my latest beaded bag design. Before I get into that I want to talk about the amazing thing about this craft which is the fact that it can be intoxicating. This is because the different amount of styles one can create is unlimited. It's an amazing form of craft where you can just explore as much as you want and it's beautiful to see how it turns out to be afterwards. Since I'm self taught and all the help I get is from YouTube, it makes me happy whenever I'm able to create something with no help. This bag is one of such. I was able to create it with all the knowledge I've gathered so far without the help of any YouTube video just like the last two designs of mine. I can say I'm a bit proud of myself.
Talking about the bag, it is a simple design that's classy and versatile. Since the color is black, you can wear it on virtually any outfit. Because its small, it give this kind of chic look which I love so muvh. I finished creating this bag last Saturday and was able to rock it to church on Sunday. Check out how it looked on me with my simple ankara gown in the picture below.
Below I will be taking us through the process of creating this lovely bag.
MATERIALS USED
- 2 packs of black pearls
- O.75mm fishing line
- 1 magnet
- 1 pair of D rings
- 1 pair of anchor rings
- Scissors
PROCESS
- The first thing I did was to cut out 20 palm rolls of fishing line, make a 4 interwoven rings of bead to form like a longer handle then I joined it together at the base and made 12 rolls of beads in between as seen below. Then I repeated the same process to form two parts.
- Next, I joined the two parts together at the base as seen below.
- Here, I beaded the sides together.
- Finally, I beaded the D rings to each side of the bag and I fixed the magnets. Once the bag is completed, I beaded the longer handle amd attached it to the anchor rings.
