There is a good reason why I stopped publishing articles several months ago and I just started to do it again, and that is that I have been busy with several things in my life outside of cryptos, being one of those that I have opened my first physical business, which is a Venezuelan food restaurant, and there are many reasons why I decided to open it, but something that is also true is that because of my experience managing this business, I can already speak with a better base about what it means to have a restaurant.

But before talking about these disadvantages, I must say that the reasons why I decided to open a restaurant, is because I wanted my parents-in-law to have a stable job in which they can generate income to support themselves in Colombia, but I also wanted to diversify my capital with something different than cryptos, since I had 95% of my capital invested in some crypto, but I also wanted to have a good base on which to give foundation to my income within Colombia, since I am an immigrant and I want to apply for Colombian citizenship in the future.

As we can see, even if I knew all the disadvantages that I am going to tell you, I would do it again (although it is possible in a different way), since there are many non-monetary reasons why I decided to open a restaurant, and this without saying that I wanted to be close to Venezuelan food, which is the food and culture that I grew up with, and that currently I can only be close to it when I am in the restaurant.

After having said this, I can now talk about what it means to have a physical business and it is something that everyone should know before opening one, because they are very big disadvantages compared to digital businesses, including investment in cryptos.

The first disadvantage that I can say and that in my opinion is the most important, is that opening a physical business requires us to have a lot of initial capital, and by this I do not mean only when there is a product that we are selling, but I mean specifically what happens when we have to look for a place where we are going to open the business, because many times we are going to have to lease a place, and this means that we will have to give a good amount of money to be able to make the contract, and this is money that we will not use to buy products or advertise.

Following the same line, another important expense that we will have to make refers to the fact that we have to buy everything necessary for the good operation of the place, being decorations, furniture, products, kitchen (in the case of being a restaurant), and very possibly the expense of initial employees, even if we have not had a single sale yet, as well as tax money in the cases where this happens.

The second disadvantage, although it is not something that happens every time, it is still something that we have to take into account, and that is that it takes time to manage the business and in this case I must give my example, since I am in charge (position given by myself), of buying things for the operation of the business, while my parents-in-law are in charge of cooking the food and sell it, so although I am not physically in the business, I still give time and energy in other ways.

Another disadvantage refers to everything that has to do with bureaucracy, and in my case is what it means to have a business enabled to make food, or in other words, to have a clean business where people can have confidence that they can eat something healthy (without bacteria or viruses), which is something logical and that everyone should look for when buying in a restaurant, but it is still something problematic and that is different in each country, although many follow the same line when it comes to avoiding diseases by covering holes in the walls, wearing gloves, masks, avoiding rats or any other animal in the place, but also having clean water tanks and having done many food handling courses.

Investing in cryptos and in many digital businesses have the advantage of what I have said are my disadvantages, because as we see, it does not take much time to maintain this type of business, but we can also avoid large costs because it is not necessary to lease places or buy expensive infrastructure to operate, as it also happens that we can avoid unnecessary bureaucracy.

I do not mean that one type of business is better than another, but that each person can decide according to what they want, but always taking into consideration that every decision we make has a consequence, so we have to think very well what we want and if we are willing to handle the disadvantages of what we have decided.

I hope that my experience with a restaurant can help other people to see what it means to have a physical business before having it, because it is very necessary to know these things before making the first move, which many times means giving a good amount of money.

Hay una buena razón por la que deje de publicar artículos hace varios meses y acabo de volver a hacerlo, y es que he estado ocupado con varias cosas de mi vida fuera de las criptos, siendo una de esas que he abierto mi primer negocio fisico, que es un restaurante de comida venezolana, y existen muchas razones por las que decidi abrirlo, pero algo que también es cierto es que debido a mi experiencia manejando este negocio, ya puedo hablar con una mejor base sobre lo que significa tener un restaurante.

Pero antes de hablar de estas desventajas, debo decir que las razones por las que decidi abrir un restaurante, es porque queria que mis suegros pudieran tener un trabajo estable en el que puedan generar ingresos para mantenerse en Colombia, pero también queria diversificar mi capital con algo diferente a las criptos, ya que tenía un 95% de mi capital invertido en alguna cripto, pero también queria tener una buena base sobre la cual dar fundamento a mis ingresos dentro de Colombia, ya que soy un inmigrante y quiero solicitar la ciudadania colombiana en el futuro.

Como vemos, aun cuando conociera todas las desventaja que les voy a comentar, volveria a hacerlo (aunque es posible que de otra manera), ya que hay muchas razones no monetarias por las cuales decidi abrir un restaurante, y esto sin decir que queria estar cerca de la comida venezolana, que es la comida y cultura con la que crecí, y que actualmente solo puedo tener cerca cuando estoy en el restaurante.

Luego de haber dicho esto, ya puedo hablar sobre lo que significa tener un negocio fisico y es algo que todos deben saber antes de abrir uno, porque son desventajas muy grandes en comparación con los negocios digitales, incluyendo la inversión en criptos.

La primera desventaja que puedo decir y que a mi parecer es la más importante, es que abrir un negocio fisico requiere que tengamos mucho capital inicial, y con esto no me refiero únicamente cuando hay un producto que estamos vendiendo, sino que me refiero específicamente a lo que ocurre cuando tenemos que buscar un lugar donde vamos a abrir el negocio, porque muchas veces vamos a tener que arrendar un lugar, y esto significa que tendremos que dar una buena cantidad de dinero para poder hacer el contrato, y esto es dinero que no usaremos para comprar productos o hacer publicidad.

Siguiendo la misma línea, otro gasto importante que tendremos que hacer se refiere a que tenemos que comprar todo lo necesario para el buen funcionamiento del lugar, siendo adornos, muebles, productos, cocina (en el caso de ser un restaurante), y muy posiblemente el gasto de empleados iniciales, aun cuando no hemos tenido una sola venta aun, como también dinero de impuestos en los casos donde esto ocurre.

La segunda desventaja, que aunque no sea algo que ocurra en todas las ocasiones, sigue siendo algo que tenemos que tomar en cuenta, y es que se necesita tiempo para poder manejar las cosas del negocio y en este caso debo dar mi ejemplo, ya que soy el encargado (puesto dado por mi mismo), de comprar las cosas para el funcionamiento del negocio, mientras que mi suegros son los encargados de hacer la comida y venderla, por lo que aunque no estoy físicamente en el negocio, sigo dando tiempo y energia de otras maneras.

Otra desventaja se refiere a todo lo que tiene que ver con la burocracia, y en mi caso es lo que significa tener un negocio habilitado para hacer comida, o en otras palabra, tener un negocio limpio y donde las personas puedan tener confianza de que pueden comer algo saludable (sin bacterias o virus), lo cual es algo logico y que todos debemos buscar al momento de comprar en un restaurante, pero no deja de ser algo problemático y que es diferente en cada pais, aunque muchos siguen una misma linea cuando se refiere a evitar enfermedades a traves de tapar huecos en las paredes, usar guantes, mascarilla, evitar que las ratas o cualquier otro animal este en el lugar, pero también tener limpieza de tanques de agua y haber hecho muchos cursos de manipulacion de alimentos.

La inversion en criptos y en muchos negocios digitales tienen de ventaja aquello que he dicho que son mis desventajas, ya que como vemos, no se necesita mucho tiempo para poder mantener este tipo de negocios, pero también podemos evitar grandes costos porque no es necesario arrendar lugares o comprar infraestructura costosa para funcionar, como también ocurre que podemos evitar burocracia innecesaria.

No quiero decir que un tipo de negocio sea mejor que otro, sino que cada persona puede decidir en funcion de lo que quiere, pero siempre teniendo en consideracion que cada decision que tomemos tiene una consecuencia, por lo que tenemos que pensar muy bien lo que queremos y si estamos dispuestos a manejar las desventajas de lo que hemos decido.

Espero que mi experiencia con un restaurante pueda ayudar a que otras personas puedan ver lo que significa tener un negocio fisico antes de tenerlo, porque es muy necesario conocer estas cosas antes de hacer el primer movimiento, que muchas veces se refiere a entregar una buena cantidad de dinero.
