Cortinas con cenefas // Proyecto terminado (Es/En)

Un feliz día les deseo a todos mis queridos amigos, agradecida grandemente por la bendición de estar compartiendo con ustedes nuevamente esta semana, cuan gozosa me siento por la satisfacción por poder culminar mi primer proyecto del 2024.

Como les comenté en mi post anterior, cuando más emocionada estaba presentando las cenefas tuve algunas complicaciones, más luego de poder resolver estos pequeños desafíos, retomé mi labor y pensé que sería de los creativos sin las benditas complicaciones, jeje así fue que sin más tiempo que perder puse manos a la obra, para poder culminar mi cortina.

As I mentioned in my previous post, when I was most excited about presenting the borders I had some complications, but after being able to solve these small challenges, I resumed my work and I thought what would be of the creative without the blessed complications, hehe so without more time to lose I got down to work, to finish my curtain.

Por esta razón con el resto de tela que me quedaba la cual media 1.60 por 1.20 metros, decidí realizar unas cenefas adicionales pero diferentes para las orillas y luego con el Diopovelo vino tinto, colocarlo de fondo a mi cortina, para ello primero estiré la tela restante en el piso y con la ayuda de una madera marqué una línea diagonal de esquina a esquina y la corté.

For this reason with the rest of the fabric that I had left, which measured 1.60 by 1.20 meters, I decided to make some additional borders but different for the edges and then with the Diopovelo red wine, place it at the bottom of my curtain, for this I first stretched the remaining fabric on the floor and with the help of a wood I marked a diagonal line from corner to corner and cut it.

Seguido en las partes más cortas marqué desde el extremo bajo hacia arriba 15 cm y 5 cm, para realizar los tachones que adornaran estas partes de la cortina.

Luego con la ayuda de alfileres fui armando cada tachón, para posteriormente coserlos y para que estos tachones se mantuvieran, marqué de la costura hacia abajo 20 cm y le realicé una costura para ajustarlos.

Ya realizadas todas las cenefas, las presenté nuevamente y para ayudarme esta vez las fui montando en el tubo cortinero, me fue mucha más fácil realizarlo de esta manera ya que podía hacerlo sobre la mesa y no en el piso,

Once all the borders were done, I presented them again and to help me this time I mounted them on the curtain tube, it was much easier to do it this way since I could do it on the table and not on the floor,

Al ver que quedaba justo a la medida que yo deseaba comencé a coserla, en esta parte también tuve un poco de complicación, pues era muy gruesa la costura y la maquina se me trancaba un poco, pero al final lo pude lograr.

When I saw that it was just the size I wanted I started to sew it, in this part I also had a little complication, because the seam was very thick and the machine got stuck a little, but in the end I was able to achieve it.

Luego de coser las cenefas, tomé mi tela vino tinta; que medía 2.20 metros de largo por 2.40 metros de ancho y la corté en dos partes del mismo tamaño, seguido proseguí a realizarle un pequeño ruedo en cada lado dela misma, posteriormente cosí esta tela por la parte de atrás de la cenefa, realizando un cruce de telas en el centro de la cortina.

After sewing the valances, I took my fabric wine ink, which measured 2.20 meters long by 2.40 meters wide and cut it into two parts of the same size, then I proceeded to make a small roll on each side of it, then sewed this fabric on the back of the valance, making a crossing of fabrics in the center of the curtain.

Y listo después de aproximadamente 10 años vuelvo a colocar cortinas en mi sala, les comentó que a pesar de los contratiempos que se me presentaron en este proyecto, siento un gozo y gran satisfacción pues no me di por vencida por estos desafíos, como quizás lo habría hecho hacen años atrás, y esta cortina hubiera sido echada en el baúl del olvido, en vez de ello siento el deseo de poder seguir aprendiendo.

And ready after approximately 10 years I return to place curtains in my living room, I commented that despite the setbacks that were presented to me in this project, I feel a joy and great satisfaction because I did not give up for these challenges, as perhaps I would have done years ago, and this curtain would have been thrown into the trunk of oblivion, instead I feel the desire to continue learning.

En este deseo de seguir progresando en el fantástico mundo de la costura, siento el deseo de realizar otros proyectos principalmente una cortina para la puerta de la entrada y luego otras cositas en mi cocina, que como ven en la foto está en proceso de reparaciones.
