Involved with foraging

A beautiful day here , so I did a little foraging with my girls. Made some wild onion salt and roasted the dandelion roots for tea with todays small harvest.

Over Thanksgiving my siblings and I were reminiscing about things we did when we were kids. I was thinking this afternoon that one day my kids are probably going to talk about how their mom suddenly became a hippie and had them eating things out of our yard through out all seasons of the year. They can already identify several plants so atleast its educational . We really do have a lot of fun learning together. I can't wait until spring and theres more things to pick...
