Splinterlands Social Media Challenge - Halfling Refugee Level 3 (Eng/Ita)

cover.png

Hello to all Splinterlands friends!!!

Those who read my posts know it's no secret how much I appreciate the new Rewards cards—for all the innovations they’re bringing to the game, and especially my interest in the new cards that cost very little or even 0 mana.

I still see many players not yet fully utilizing these new cards. It takes time to study and field-test these new monsters to understand what works and what doesn’t.

How could I not mention Elanor Bravefoot, costing only 0 mana and in high demand on the market? She’s in second place, right after Eternal Tofu, with a value reaching almost $42.

Surly Drunk is also performing well, costing only 1 mana and valued at $14.6, thanks to his Opportunity ability.

On the other hand, Halfling Refugee is a bit undervalued at just $2.7, so I took the opportunity to level him up to level 3, where he finally gains the Heal ability. Will this regenerative ability help mitigate the negative effects of his Weary debuff?

Let’s find out together in this battle at this link: https://splinterlands.com/?p=battle&id=sl_e4392fc5ec1fa1a0426a4813d587c8ac

This is an excellent battle to test my newly upgraded Halfling Refugee. The low Mana Cap of 19 forced us to choose low-cost monsters.

I chose the strategy of filling all 6 team slots with low-cost cards, except one. With Tarsa as the summoner, I placed Halfling in the Tank position, followed by Spirit Hoarder, Rush Townsend (the only costly one at 9 mana), Elanor Bravefoot, Surly Drunk, and Chaos Agent.

My opponent chose to occupy only 4 slots, with General Sloan as the summoner, Gargoya Scrapper in the first position, followed by Supply Runner, Pelacor Arbalest, and Xenith Archer.

This battle was a huge success for me. Halfling performed excellently, and with the buffs from Tarsa, reaching 4 melee and 7 Health, he played as though he cost 7-8 mana more. Of course, with each round, there's a growing chance for Weary to take effect, but in low and ultra-low Mana Cap battles, I believe he’ll be a top pick for the Tank position.

Nicely done! I think Halfling Refugee is way undervalued. At level three that heal makes her a very strong and cheap tank. I want an Elanor but she is just so expensive right now. I'll wait and see what happens! Great post!

At level 3 Halfling is a great card, and not that expensive ! I have one Elanor, but i'd like to bring her to level 2 where she gets Blasphemy of Uul.
