Battle Mage Secrets Weekly Challenge! - Melee Mayhem (ENG/ITA)
Good evening, friends of Splinterlands!!!
After many rulesets, for several weeks in a row, that put obstacles in the way of melee attack monsters, today we finally talk about a battle rule that almost removes any limits for this type of card.
And it's a great opportunity to get to know the melee cards of the new edition Rebellion, such as Mantaroth, Venka the Vile, and Chaos Golem, which can showcase many attack points to hit opponents hard.
Let's see what happens when we find a special ruleset for this type of monster, in this week's Battle Mage Secrets Challenge!!!
Melee Mayhem: and now we're having fun!!! With this ruleset, melee monsters can attack from any position, but be careful, let's not get carried away with placing all cards of the same type, but also study the other rulesets on the table and try to keep our team well balanced.
Here is the link to the battle I want to show you:
https://splinterlands.com/?p=battle&id=sl_ad6a9b7bb9aee5fed6fa2a92c727e718
And these are the game rules:
A very generous Mana Cap of 55, and in addition to Melee Mayhem we have the rulesets Corrosive Fog, and Rise of the Commons, so we are limited to choosing only common and rare cards.
And here is the battlefield:
As I often do, I relied on the good old Yodin Zaku, with the very strong Goblin Mech in Tank position, followed by Ferox Defender, Disintegrator, Ash Mirage, Torch Vizier and, to finish, Tinderlock.
My opponent, on the other hand, relied on a classic Chaos Legion summoner, Thaddius Brood, with Cursed Windeku in the first position, followed by Disintegrator, Goblin Mech, Ravenhood Warden, Possessed Puppet, and finally, Night Ghoul who, with his Taunt ability, should serve as a lightning rod, attracting all hits towards him.
We both chose a mixed team of melee and ranged monsters, but my opponent may have overdone it by fielding 5 melee monsters out of 6, while I fielded 2 heavy ranged monsters like Tinderlock and Ash Mirage who benefited not only from the Blast ability but also from the +1 attack granted by Yodin Zaku.
In the end, it was an easy victory; it was clear from the second round how it would end.

Melee Mayhem: e ora ci divertiamo !!!
https://splinterlands.com/?p=battle&id=sl_ad6a9b7bb9aee5fed6fa2a92c727e718
