Finalmente dopo qualche settimana, visto il periodo impegnativo che io e @stea90 abbiamo passato, finalmente riesco a buttare giù due righe...
Pensavo di riuscire ad essere più presente in quel periodo, ma aimè, dopo il lavoro, lo studio e il dover fare tutto io a casa, la sera arrivavo che ero demolita, e ancora oggi, anche se Fede piano piano riesce ad aiutarmi, non mi sono ancora ripresa completamente...

Finally, after a few weeks due to a busy period that @stea90 and I have been going through, I can finally write a few lines. I thought I would be more present during that time, but unfortunately, after work, studying, and doing everything at home, by the end of the day, I was exhausted. Even today, although Fede is gradually helping me, I am not fully recovered.

Ma adesso pensiamo alle cose belle, anche perchè è stato superato anche quel momento, e ora è tornato il momento di rimettersi a lavoro per riprendere da dove mi ero fermata, ed è per questo che voglio raccontarvi di questa festa di compleanno...

Come tutti sapete, io e Fede, dobbiamo ringraziare Shyla e Gaia per il nostro incontro, Shyla poi ha fatto il resto, quindi come possiamo non fare per lei di tutto?
Qualcuno può considerarci un pò poco normali, ma siamo fatti così, prendere o lasciare...

Il 13 febbraio Shyla ha compiuto 8 anni, gli ultimi tre è antrata anche nella mia vita, e da quando l'ho conosciuta è stato amore a prima vista...Ed è per questo ho deciso di organizzarle una festicciola...

But let's focus on the positive things since that moment has passed, and it's time to get back to work and pick up where I left off. That's why I want to tell you about this birthday party.

As you all know, Fede and I have to thank Shyla and Gaia for introducing us. Shyla did the rest, so how can we not do everything for her?
Some may consider us a bit abnormal, but we are who we are, take it or leave it.

On February 13th, Shyla turned 8 years old. She has been in my life for the last three years, and since I met her, it was love at first sight. That's why I decided to organize a little party for her.

Non volevo fare la solita tortina, che io e Fede ogni tanto le prepariamo, quindi sabato ho deciso di mettermi a impastare le pizzette sfoglie... Penserete che sono poco normale, ma non riesco a fare diversamente...

Tornai a casa da lavoro verso le 18 dopo essere passata a comprarle le crocchette, mi cambio velocemente, faccio salire Fede in macchina e via direzione casa dei suoceri, per andare a trovare Shyla...

I didn't want to make the usual cake that Fede and I occasionally prepare, so on Saturday, I decided to make some puff pastry pizzas. You may think I'm a bit strange, but I just can't do things differently.

I came home from work around 6 pm after stopping to buy her some croquettes. I quickly changed and drove Fede to my in-laws' house to visit Shyla.

Arriviamo, e come la suocera apre la porta, ci corre incontro, verso di me è stata un pò irruenta, anche se avevo il sacco di crocchette, verso di Fede invece si è avvicinata molto delicatamente, gli animali sentono quando stiamo poco bene, e lei ha una sensibilità incredibile, sapeva già che eravamo la per lei e che avrebbe passato un bellissimo compleanno...

Prima di cena, abbiamo giocato tantissimo, poi di nascosto da tutti, le ho fatto assaggiare la prima pizzetta, devo dire che ha gradito... Ci sediamo a tavola e come sempre lei si è distesa sotto il tavolo tra me e Fede, solo che era un pò più agitata del solito... Sapeva che sarebbe successo qualcosa...

We arrived, and as my mother-in-law opened the door, Shyla ran towards me, although a bit roughly, even though I had the bag of croquettes. She approached Fede very delicately, though, as animals sense when we're not feeling well, and she has incredible sensitivity. She already knew we were there for her and that she would have a beautiful birthday.

Before dinner, we played a lot, and then I secretly let her taste the first pizza. I must say she enjoyed it. We sat at the table, and as always, she lay down under the table between me and Fede, but she was a bit more agitated than usual. She knew something was going to happen.

Dopo aver mangiato le pizzette per cena, sono venuti a farle gli auguri anche il fratello di Fede, la cognata e la nipotina...
Abbiamo posizionato sul tavolo la pizzetta con la candelina, e abbiamo cercato di farci qualche foto, non è stato per niente facile, ma qualcosa è venuto fuori...

After eating the pizzas for dinner, Fede's brother, sister-in-law, and niece came to wish her a happy birthday. We placed the pizza with the candle on the table and tried to take some photos, which was not easy, but we managed to get some.

Ma non è finita qui... Solo la pizzetta e le crocchette non potevano bastare... Il compleanno non è compleanno se non si scartano i regali, e da matti come siamo, non potevamo non incartare anche un regalino per poi farla divertire nell'aprirlo...

But that's not all. Only the pizza and croquettes were not enough. A birthday is not complete without opening gifts, and being the crazy people we are, we had to wrap a little present for her to enjoy opening.

Che dire, gli animali, sono tutti fantastici, ma a lei manca solo la parola...

Una volta scartato il regalo, Shyla era in un altro pianeta, mordeva il gioco e non guardava più nessuno...

Dopo aver trascorso la serata con la nostra adorata Shyla, siamo tornati a casa, lasciandola in compagnia del suo nuovo gioco, che è durato molto poco, ma per noi la cosa importante è che lei sia felice e dalla sua espressione posso assicurarvi che lo era...

What can I say? Animals are all fantastic, but she just lacks words...

Once she unwrapped the gift, Shyla was in another world, biting and not looking at anyone anymore.

After spending the evening with our beloved Shyla, we returned home, leaving her with her new toy, which didn't last very long, but for us, the important thing is that she is happy, and from her expression, I can assure you that she was.
