Carnival Accessories Contest-Floral Mask🎭
Saludos queridos hivers, esta es mi primera vez publicando para esta comunidad por lo que me siento muy agradecida y por supuesto complacida de poder estar compartiendo con ustedes algo de arte.
Greetings dear hivers, this is my first time posting for this community so I feel very grateful and of course pleased to be able to share with you some art.
Aún quedan días de carnaval o por lo menos falta la Octavita, lo cual indica que podemos continuar usando nuestros atuendos, complementos, disfraces y todo lo que tenga que ver con estos días repletos de color y mucha alegría; pensé en diferentes ideas para traer, pero al final me disidí por lo que me gusta que son las flores, así que elabore un antifaz floral muy llamativo, usando diversos materiales como parte de mi participación para el concurso propuesto por @jewelry, esta estoy segura de que es una gran oportunidad para mi primera vez en la comunidad y estoy feliz de poder aportar mi grano de arena.
There are still days left of carnival or at least the Octavita, which indicates that we can continue using our outfits, accessories, costumes and everything that has to do with these days full of color and lots of joy; I thought of different ideas to bring, but in the end I decided to go for what I like which are the flowers, so I made a very striking floral mask, using various materials as part of my participation in the contest proposed by @jewelry, I'm sure this is a great opportunity for my first time in the community and I'm happy to contribute my grain of sand.
Materiales:
Retazos de foami en color negro, fucsia, blanco, rojo y azul
Piedras de bisutería, 2 blancas y 1 azul
Falso swarovski de color azul claro
Un listón de tela color rojo
Pistola de silicona
Tijera
Bolígrafo
Patrón de antifaz en papel
Tapa plástica
Plancha de ropa
Materials:
Foami scraps in black, fuchsia, white, red and blue.
Costume jewelry stones, 2 white and 1 blue
Light blue fake swarovski stones
A red fabric ribbon
Silicone gun
Scissors
Pen
Paper mask pattern
Plastic lid
Clothes iron
Elaboración/Elaboration
Lo primero que vamos a hacer es transferir el patrón del antifaz al foami de color negro y para ello usamos el bolígrafo y luego con la tijera recortamos por el borde, tomando en cuenta que es necesario sacar la parte de los ojos.
The first thing we are going to do is to transfer the pattern of the mask to the black foami and for this we use the pen and then with the scissors we cut along the edge, taking into account that it is necessary to remove the part of the eyes.
Calentar la pistola de silicona para colocar el pegamento por el borde de los ojos de la máscara y así ir colocando los swarovski falsos, luego en el centro de los ojos colocar tres puntos de silicona para colocar las piedras como muestra la tercera imagen.
Heat the silicone gun to place the glue along the edge of the eyes of the mask and place the fake swarovski, then in the center of the eyes place three points of silicone to place the stones as shown in the third image.
En el foami fucsia vamos a dibujar 11 círculos usando la tapa y luego recortamos, lo mismo vamos a hacer en el foami blanco a diferencia que en este sacaremos 22 piezas más pequeñas que las anteriores.
On the fuchsia foami we will draw 11 circles using the lid and then cut them out, the same thing we will do on the white foami, except that on this one we will make 22 smaller pieces than the previous ones.
Para formar la rosa, comenzamos uniendo los círculos en los extremos con la silicona; tal y como muestra la foto.
To form the rose, we start by joining the circles at the ends with the silicone, as shown in the photo.
Luego colocamos un punto de silicona en el primer círculo para hacer 2 dobleces y a medida que vamos avanzando, vamos soltando de a poco el enrollado para que la flor no quede tan apretada; así hasta llegar al final.
Then we place a silicone stitch in the first circle to make 2 folds and as we go along, we gradually loosen the winding so that the flower is not so tight; and so on until we reach the end.
Una vez tengamos armadas las tres rosas, calentamos la plancha a un nivel bajo para que el foami no se queme; entonces procedemos a ir pasando las rosas por la plancha, presionando los pétalos hacia fuera para darle forma a los pétalos.
Once we have assembled the three roses, we heat the iron at a low level so that the foami does not burn; then we proceed to pass the roses through the iron, pressing the petals outwards to shape the petals.
De todos los foamis vamos a cortar finas tiras que luego pasaremos por la plancha, para darle firmeza y forma a estos.
From all the foamis we are going to cut thin strips that we will then pass through the iron to give firmness and shape to the foamis.
Las tiras de foami que recién cortamos, las pegamos con silicona a uno de los extremos superiores de la pieza y encima de ellos, las rosas.
The foami strips that we just cut, we glue them with silicone to one of the upper ends of the piece and on top of them, the roses.
Lo último será unir con silicona el listón de tela al antifaz, por la parte trasera en cada extremo; esto es lo que sostendrá la pieza en el rostro.
The last thing to do is to attach the fabric ribbon to the mask with silicone on the back at each end; this is what will hold the piece on the face.
