FILVEN 2023 NATIONAL EVENT - BOOK EXCHANGE.

To get into context you should know that the Filven is the National Book Fair of Venezuela; which is held with the objective of promoting the sale of books of any kind at more accessible prices, both economically and geographically and that in turn creates a promotion for the publishers who participate in this event and for the books to be sold.

Just this past Sunday, April 30, after finishing a partial, better known as an academic exam in mathematics, I was notified by phone that the Filven event was being held at the PDVSA La Estancia facilities, which was close to me.

I really saw it more as a unique opportunity, rather than a problem or a reason for discouragement, because of how unexpected it was for me; since I really still had high levels of anxiety after finishing the math exam and being able to think about attending the event meant clearing my mind for a while and at the same time the possibility of exchanging some old books I had for more than 10 years of unused literary stories, for some new textual books of scientific bibliography that could be useful for the university career in which I am studying.

With the stories to exchange in hand, the positive thinking and with all the excitement of the universe I went to the event....

First book

When I arrived at the place I felt twice as excited about the new experience I was going to live and it really was a very quick event, since in the outskirts was the first place for the book exchange, which consisted of simply leaving the book you were carrying in the wooden book house and grabbing any that was of interest to the reader.

In my case, although I did not get anything directly related to the subjects I see at the university, if I managed to get one that caught my attention and that perhaps I could use in the future to make academic reports in the area of economic geography, since: "Violent Venezuela" is a book published by the Central Bank of Venezuela in order to show the thesis of the writer Orlando Araujo of how Venezuela and part of what is Latin America, have certain aspects of violence that cover part of the colonial history, as the feudal economic phases, imperialist as the oil business.

After walking 5 minutes I found the big white tent of Filven, as you may have seen it was completely full of people excited and happy to talk and exchange opinions about the books; that from my vision where there was more concentration of people was in the comics section by the large number of young people who had seen different collections and for my part where I stayed longer watching for lack of economic liquidity was the section of the publishing house of Multiservice Sebastian Govea, because there was a book with a very interesting cover that caught my attention "Cut, Roses, Thorns." So I look forward to your comments of recommendation if you have been able to read said book.

Then to my great surprise and to the surprise of many young people and adults, there was the Fundación por la lectura, where reading is encouraged and promoted through the decoration and exchange of books; it was here where I changed my other two remaining books for two volumes of "Técnico en Publicidad- Editorial Cultura, S.A", since it talks about media planning strategies, budgeting and media marketing; content that goes perfectly hand in hand with the subject that I am seeing of Methodology, Management and Business.

The last book, diamond that I chose for exchange, was the Master of Business (MBA), as it exposes in a simple way the application of Strategic Marketing concepts both for the day to day and for the economic or business environment by Richard J Lutz and Barton A. Weitz.

Undoubtedly for me it was a gratifying experience to be able to participate in this type of activities, since the books that I no longer used will now have a new owner that will be very useful, as it is for me all these books that I grabbed, but that someone left because they were no longer useful.

Soon and if you like, I can write about these texts, since it is always important to see other aspects and types of books to develop the intellect of those who want it 😊.

Para entrar en contexto deben saber que el Filven es la Feria del Libro a nivel Nacional de Venezuela; el cual se realiza con el objetivo de fomentar la venta de libros de cualquier tipo a precios un tanto más accesibles, tanto de manera económica como geográfica y que a su vez se crea una promoción para las editoriales que participan en dicho evento como para los libros a vender.

Justamente este pasado domingo 30 de abril, luego de terminar de presentar un parcial, mejor conocido como examen académico de la materia de matemática, me llego al teléfono la notificación de que se estaba realizando el evento del Filven en las instalaciones de PDVSA La Estancia, la cual me quedaba cerca.

Realmente lo vi más como una oportunidad única, más que un problema o un motivo de desánimo, por lo inesperado que llego a ser para mí; puesto que realmente tenía todavía grandes niveles de ansiedad al terminar el examen de matemática y el poder pensar en asistir a dicho evento suponía el despejar la mente un rato y a su vez la posibilidad de cambiar unos libros viejos que tenía de hace más de 10 años de cuentos literarios sin utilizar, por unos nuevos libros textuales de bibliografía científica que me podrían servir para la carrera universitaria en la cual estoy cursando.

Con los cuentos a intercambiar en mano, el pensamiento positivo y con toda la emoción del universo me fui al evento...

Primer libro

Al llegar al lugar me sentí el doble de emocionada por la nueva experiencia que iba a vivir y realmente fue un suceso muy rápido, ya que en las afueras se encontraba el primer lugar para el intercambio de libros, el cual consistía en simplemente dejar el libro que uno llevaba en la casa de madera de libros y agarrar cualquiera que fuera de interés para el lector.

En mi caso, aunque no conseguí nada directamente relacionado con las materias que veo en la universidad, si logre conseguir uno que me llamara la atención y que quizás podría utilizar en un futuro para realizar informes académicos en el área de la geografía económica, puesto que: "Venezuela Violenta" es un libro publicado por el Banco Central de Venezuela con la finalidad de mostrar la tesis del escritor Orlando Araujo del cómo Venezuela y parte de lo que es América Latina, presentan ciertos aspectos de violencia que abarcan parte de la historia colonial, como las fases económicas feudales, imperialistas como el negocio del petróleo.

Luego de caminar 5 minutos me encontré con la gran carpa blanca del Filven, como habrán visto estaba totalmente lleno de personas emocionadas y felices por hablar como intercambiar opiniones sobre los libros; que desde mi visión donde más había concentración de personas era en la sección de comics por la gran cantidad de jóvenes que había visto distintas colecciones y por mi parte donde me quede más rato observando por falta de liquidez económica fue la sección de la editorial de Multiservicio Sebastián Govea , pues había un libro con una portada muy interesante que me llamo mucho la atención "Corte, Rosas, Espinas." Así que espero sus comentarios de recomendación si han podido leer dicho libro.

Luego para mi gran sorpresa y para la de muchos jóvenes como adultos, estaba presente la fundación por la lectura, donde se fomenta y promueve la lectura por medio de la decoración e intercambio de libros; fue aquí donde cambie mis otros dos libros restantes por dos tomos del "Técnico en Publicidad - Editorial Cultura, S.A", ya que te habla sobre las estrategias de planificación de medios, realización de presupuestos como la comercialización de medios; contenido que va perfectamente de la mano con la materia que estoy viendo de Metodología Gerencia y Negocios.

El último libro, diamante que escogí por intercambio, fue el de Máster de Negocios (MBA), ya que expone de forma sencilla la aplicación de conceptos de Marketing Estratégico tanto para el día a día como para el ambiente económico o de negocios realizados por Richard J Lutz y Barton A. Weitz.

Sin duda para mí fue una gratificante experiencia el poder ser participante de este tipo de actividades, puesto que los libros que ya no utilizaba ahora tendrán un nuevo dueño que les será de mucha utilidad, como para mí lo es todos estos libros que agarre, pero que alguien dejo por no ser le más de utilidad.

Próximamente y si les parece, puedo escribir sobre estos textos, ya que siempre es importante ver otros aspectos y tipos de libros para desarrollar el intelecto de quien lo quiera 😊.
