The sacred is that deep dialogue with what essentially belongs to us, a part of us that transcends the physical and that we long to fully integrate.

Los Pasos, a humble town that seems lost on the map, is where history and art converge; a place of great symbolism for me. In the past, a train crossed its wooden bridge, now preserved, connecting its inhabitants with the outside world and facilitating its development.

Now, accessing Los Pasos is a challenge: transportation, the road, the distance itself represent considerable obstacles. Despite this, taking art there is essential. A town is nourished not only by history, but also by artistic experiences. I remember the expression of amazement on the children's faces during the event, absorbed by the music and children's songs; children perhaps without access to theater, whose only artistic experience is the screen of their phones, if they have internet.

Ahora, acceder a Los Pasos es un desafío: el transporte, el camino, la distancia misma representan obstáculos considerables. A pesar de ello, llevar el arte hasta allí es fundamental. The richness of the local flora and fauna is undeniable: imposing royal palms, large trees, various animal species and a fresh, clean environment make up a landscape of singular beauty. This environment creates an atmosphere conducive to reflection and sharing, although photographs can only capture a fraction of the experience. It is hoped that this place of convergence, where different routes come together, will become a destination for many, a space where the pulse of life beats strongly.

La riqueza de la flora y fauna local es innegable: imponentes palmas reales, árboles de gran envergadura, diversas especies animales y un ambiente fresco y limpio conforman un paisaje de singular belleza. Este entorno crea una atmósfera propicia para la reflexión y el compartir, aunque las fotografías solo puedan capturar una fracción de la experiencia vivida. History holds ineffable secrets, silences that remain voiceless. Martí, present in a couple of poems that I have in my hands and a song in my pocket, brings me back to that happy memory. However, when I put it into words, I feel a deep melancholy. I long to return to Los Pasos, to that place impregnated with the essence of Martí, to human connection and the peace of nature, so that his embrace inspires me and allows me to continue writing.
