A Picture is Worth a Thousand Words -Don't rip me off anymore-
They say that times have changed, but they say it when referring to people. We are the ones who change. It seems that as time goes by we gain many more capabilities. Some of these capabilities are to be better at what we do and others are to take advantage of the needy.
I want to say that this last capacity that many people are assuming in the present times, is not of my best reception. I want to say that no matter how badly we are doing at times in our lives we should always strive to get the best for ourselves and others, without having to trample on anyone.
We should never think that we are better workers or better people than others, just because we take advantage of our abilities to do wrong. It is not easy for me to try to control my temper when I see an injustice from a freeloader.
In my home, only my son and I live. As adults who work and earn our livelihood, we try to work out all the kinks that come our way with our appliances. I have hired people who have described themselves as serious workers and then they turn out to be scammers.
I decided to buy all these parts to try to solve the problem with my washing machine, dishwasher, bathroom plumbing, and other problems. Then when I have them in front of me I realize that I don't even know the name of all these things.
I have to look them up one by one and find out how they fit into my home. I realize that this is difficult. I am not trained to work with these things and the only thing I have achieved is that the dripping continues here and the damage continues there.
That's when I decided to call every technician again. I don't call the same ones that already ripped me off, now it's someone else. I am afraid of being scammed again. At least they have been effectively fixing the leaky sink, the plumbing in the bathroom is working with its new handle and so have my washing machine, my refrigerator, and my air conditioner.
I have learned that there are also good people in the world who try to do their best with what they have learned. That there will always be bad people and profiteers. We must learn to recognize when a worker is honest and when there are bad intentions.
We can't all have the ability to do all the trades, we want to try to learn a little bit of everything but experience is what makes the difference.
Lesson learned...
Learning to trust people more and expect the best from them is what this lesson teaches me and not to label them all as bad people who want to take advantage of my money. I can only do this by taking the risk of looking for workers with recommended qualifications.
This is an experience learned in my life and thanks to the theme of the week contest sponsored by @wakeupkitty I have brought it to you today.
I invite you to participate my friend @coolmidwestguy, follow the link
The pictures are from my Redmi Note 9 phone.
You summed up a brilliant story up and I could not agree more. In the spite of getting people who scammed you and broke your trust, fate gave you another who mended the trust.
And I am sure you will recommend him.
In life nothing happens without leaving a lesson. For everything we must give thanks, for the good things we are content and for the bad things we get angry. We never know what is behind a bad action until we understand the part we have to learn.
Thank you for your visit
That's right. Your words arr true.
Experiences make the difference so we learn if we practice more.
Not everyone has the money to pay for a good worker (or two, three even five times if they are a scammer).
There are plenty of things we can do ourselves if we look at how it is attached take pictures of it and take the old parts to a specialized shop to ask for new ones.
YouTube is a source of help too, and so are plumbing companies with QA on their sites.
Practice makes the master.
Thanks for joining us,
Greetings @wakeupkitty
