Mrs. Brenda and Mr. Ramon; Beans vs Coffee
Antioquia is a wonderful Colombian department, with a very rich land for planting, besides having excellent natural resources.
The Antioquian is a very regionalist, but a very beautiful person, his kindness is one of his most outstanding characteristics.
But since not everything is wonderful, there are always those who seem to be dissatisfied.
Mr. Ramón's hacienda Golden Coffee is a hacienda founded in colonial times by his ancestors and dedicated exclusively to the cultivation of coffee.
They have managed to obtain such splendid, marvelous, good-quality coffee that they now export it worldwide and have gained recognition in the most important coffee festivals on the planet, placing Colombia in the first place as a producer of high-quality coffee.
But planting high-quality coffee is not an easy task, it requires dedication, love, knowledge, not neglecting the plant (because of pests), being extremely zealous, and far from any other planting. It is also important to plant at the beginning of the rainy season and the department of Antioquia is perfect for this because the climate is very cold with abundant rain.
All of these things are taken into account by Mr. Ramón and his train of workers and family members. He also knows that if he takes care of his employees, and keeps them happy, with good pay and benefits, they will respond with responsible work and love for the coffee.
Another thing that Mr. Ramón and his people have to face is the constant harassment from plant growers of non-legal products and those who grow other foodstuffs.
Mr. Ramón's hacienda has always been highly desired by competitors and neighbors because of the good quality of the land. This has provoked confrontations since the hacienda was founded and seems to be a headache that is still present today and which Mr. Ramón wants to put an end to once and for all.
In the northern part of the hacienda is the hacienda The Bean, owned by the fearsome and repugnant Mrs. Brenda.
This lady is a newcomer to the sector and has started off very badly as a neighbor; she has fallen out with everyone around her.
Mrs. Brenda and her employees and relatives have been busy planting beans, but the quality of the beans is not very good and she intends to take possession by force of the other neighboring farms, especially that of Mr. Ramón.
Of course, this decision to do things the hard way was a consequence of the neighbors' refusal to sell the farm.
Among the misdeeds that Mrs. Brenda does, is to tear down the wire fences that limit the properties, and since Mr. Ramón's property is very extensive, it tends to be somewhat deficient in terms of surveillance.
Mrs. Brenda knows this, so she knocks down the fences or moves them in order to gain ground.
It is there that a war has started between neighbors where Mrs. Brenda is increasing her crops taking advantage of the good quality of the land of the hacienda Golden Coffee.
Mr. Ramón can no longer stand the audacity of Mrs. Brenda and has decided, with a gun in his waistband, to visit her to demand by hook or by crook that she leave her land and stop the harassment.
Everyone in the two haciendas feared for this encounter, many said that even blood would run through these lands of coffee and beans.
Mr. Ramon has left for the meeting with three vehicles armed to the teeth and his most hardened and trusted employees, including the three children he had with his late wife Maria.
In the meantime, Mrs. Brenda had prepared her ground with her best men ready for anything; they were like the inhabitants of Troy waiting for Ulysses in Homer's work; The Iliad.
Mr. Ramón got out of the vehicle, pulled up his pants because the gun was weighing him down and adjusted his hat. He, a man of 60 years of age, strong, tall, very good looking, wherever he went he was the subject of comments from the ladies.
He approached Mrs. Brenda's main house and demanded that she come out or send a male to fix that pod.
Immediately out the front door of the house came a woman in her 50s, with black hair and lioness-like eyes.
He also carried a pistol in his waistband and upon seeing Mr. Ramon, he threw his hat to the ground with a gesture of annoyance and walked in Mr. Ramon's direction.
When their eyes met with strong displeasure, they both shouted each other's name and gave each other a sovereign embrace with a passionate kiss.
This couple had met years ago and had fallen in love, but due to fate they were separated and now they are reunited.
It was there that the battle of the beans in the Coffee War ended.
The two haciendas joined together to become the most productive in the country, each in its own crop.
Enemies that didn't even know that they were lovers 😂 funny how things work like that lol
hahahahahaha
Yes, it's very curious universe.
