I want a home in the woods.
My love for nature is huge and I don't mind living at the center of it for the rest of my life but choosing between living by the seaside and the woods is quite tricky.
Honestly, I love both sides of nature. Imagine sitting outside your shack by the beach watching the sun rise and set, imagine the gentle breeze from the massive body of water penetrating through your skin, trust me when I say the feeling would be awesome.
As good as the beach might make you feel, it is hard to overlook the goodness of living in the woods. Many times I envy people who share their shots from camping, I use to feel like they have gotten extra years to live just for spending a few times in the heart of nature.

If I have to choose between the beach and the woods, I will definitely choose a home surrounded by greenery, a place with lots of trees. The color green has a different impact on me and I find it hard to explain the feeling properly.
I have been to the beach probably about three times and it's been a while but I can tell the difference between staying by the beach and hanging out in the woods, not like the real forest kind of thing though.
I began to experience the effect of staying in a green environment as a student, I get to assimilate more when reading there, and when I release myself to it, I feel relieved of my stress. It's like the trees and grasses have a way of absorbing my mental and physical stress.
I have heard people talk about the ocean like this but I haven't felt that exact way greenery makes me feel the few times I spent at the beach.
There are lots of reasons why I will choose a cabin in the woods and I think at the end of the post, you will agree with me that I made the right choice.
Exploring the woods is more fascinating than the beach.
Having a shack at the beach make exploring nature limited and aside from the beautiful view of the sun, I doubt if there is much to do except I decide to get into the water, probably I might get to see some fishes but in the woods, it's a whole different world.
Research has it that there are more than fifty thousand species of trees and you what that means, I get to see different plants/trees while walking through the woods, that's really huge for me. It doesn't mean I get to see all the species of trees wherever my cabin is but I definitely will be privileged to see quite a lot of them.
It doesn't end with the trees because there are different creatures in the woods and aside from the fear of being eaten up by a wild animal, I definitely will get to see different birds, insects, and animals.
My encounter with them will definitely make a huge impact on me both physically, mentally, and emotionally.
A home in the woods will keep me away from the stress out there. I might be away from civilisation but the benefit is countless and one the things I value is how it will prevent me from different forms of pollutions, and as well help my mental health to an extent.
Living in the woods gives me the privilege to grow my food, it means I have access to fresh foods such as vegetables, potatoes, and a lot more. With the vast availability of land, I can grow my food in a small portion without creating any form of harm to nature.
Another beautiful reason for choosing the woods is because I can be of service to nature. A lot happens in the woods and living in it can make me be of help. Rescuing and helping injured, sick, or trapped animals, planting more trees, and reporting unusual incidents like deforestation activity or sudden fire outbreaks as soon as possible.
Forests are of great importance to the human race and the ecosystem as a whole, helping the forest in any way I can means I have helped the human race indirectly.

I like to have a cabin too like those Im seeing in movies...
Yeah, I many times wish I could just disappear into the TV to have a feel of some awesomely designed Cabin in the wood.
Life will be on a whole different level as far as there is electricity to power my device so I can share my new life with the world
Being in nature gives us a feeling of being alive. I have done quite a bit of camping and I have done it remotely where I have been off the grid. No distractions just whom Im with and nature. I'd choose the woods over the beach but I'd like it if thier was a stream or river nearby though. Id like to catch some dinner 🐠🐟 :)
Fishing in the woods would be awesome, I can imagine myself grilling the fish under a big tree in the evening.
You must have a lot of camping experience, I appreciate your response
I am totally agree with you. A greeny environment is a requirement to pass our life with satisfaction. The greeny environment create indirect impact in our mind. Many people may not ready to accepted but I believe it.
I would choose also at home in the woods.
Only people who know the essence of nature will choose to live in the woods.
The impact of it on our physical and mental health is huge.
My plan is also to live in the province and somewhere in a forest or greenfield. Just like you, I love Mother Nature, and an atmosphere like this is what I am really dreaming of having in the future. City is so toxic for me. 😪
City life can be very stressful and the level of peace in the province is different. I hope to own a cabin someday when my country is safe or probably when I leave the country.
Yay! 🤗
