Hello, good morning all my coffee friends, today is Monday, a day where we first thank God for all his goodness and everything he gives us to live fully happy with our families. The weekend was full of many activities at the barista academy but that didn't stop me from thinking about what content to upload to start the week and that is why today I want to show you an extraction method that we use when training baristas At the coffee school I took several photographs so you can see how it works. How your equipment is structured to carry out filtration.
.
And if it is true, there are many ways to prepare coffee. There are some that contain dairy drinks with milk and there are others that are made through extraction methods where we can perceive different types of aromas and fragrances when making this drink. That is why today I will talk to you about CHEMEX.

The CHEMEX is a drip extraction method in which we can make a filtered coffee that allows us to perceive the different fragrances and aromas that we can receive in the ground coffee and in the coffee when it is already previously heated with water. This type of method It is known that it is through dripping since the water passes through the ground coffee and also passes through a filter that is normally made of paper.
.
It is important to highlight that this type of method is the one that we use practically on a daily basis in our homes when making coffee since at home we do it with a sleeve and a glass but on this occasion when we are already a coffee school we have to use Although it is true that we can make coffee in this way colloquially or commonly on a daily basis, we also have to explain in a professional manner how to use drip methods since there are coffee shops that require this type of coffee to be sold this way.

Here we can see that it is a glass container with an hourglass shape where the upper part is open and on one of its sides it has the measurement and the amounts of water that it takes to make the coffee. It is also decorated in a very subtle so that it is attractive to the eyes of consumers and the person who is going to prepare the coffee drink, we can see that it also has a filter made of stainless steel in which we also place the paper sleeve or the filter where we are going to place the ground coffee and then there we are going to prepare our drink with the previously heated water.

The ideal thing to work with this extraction method is to use a fine grind but because we use a paper filter we have to have a grind between fine and coarse so that it does not allow us to pass remains of the coffee grounds to the bottom where it goes. dropping the liquid that is why a medium fine grind is recommended but not completely.
.
Dear friends, during this week I will be showing you various equipment that we use in the coffee school laboratory so that you know a little about this entire process to obtain the drink that we all love and know as coffee, there are different types of preparations. different types of methods and different types of processes which allow us to obtain a very delicious drink for our palate, so stay tuned for my publications so that together we can learn and learn much more about the world of coffee.
