Social Media Challenge Brawl Report 14 - Price of a Stuck Battle

A little late but here is my 14th brawl report with KingsHaven.

Once again in Fray 3, the restriction being Novice level battles using only Chaos Legion units. Each battle are also given some random rulesets and mana so we have to quickly decide on what units to use and where to place them on the fly. Details of these rulesets descriptions can be found here.

I have to fight 7 battles in this brawl and below are the results:

Battle 1 - Rulesets Silenced Summoners + Up Close & Personal (28 Mana): LOST

Both of us chose Water but I again I chose not to use the gladiator, Vorst and again it bites me again. I should have gone with Vorst cause this is a Silenced summoner ruleset which means Kelya wouldn't be able to give shield to all the summoned unit. Also I shouldn't be putting up 1 HP unit to feed opponent Vorst.

Round 2 - Opponent Fled

Battle 3 - Rulesets Earthquake + Close Range (21 Mana): WON

Life splinter has one of the strongest flyer, Uriel, so I chose Life splinter for the Earthquake ruleset. Plus Life summoner +1 ranged damage fit with the other Close Range ruleset too. The opponent probably also went with Life splinter but probably ddidn't have Uriel.

Battle 4 - Rulesets Close Range + Keep Your Distance (17 Mana): WON

Another Close Range fight and again I close Life splinter. I also added the gladiator, Ajax Lightfoot, as this is the best ruleset to use him. Opponent also chose Life but didn't put up any gladiator. Not surprisingly Lightfoot end up helping me win the match.

Battle 5 - Rulesets Unprotected + Little League (60 Mana): WON

On normal circumstances I would probably chose Water if I have a suitable Water gladiator with 4 or less mana but I don't have. Also the other ruleset is Unprotected so Shield cannot be applied in this match. I decided to chose Death in the end and apparently my opponent again has the same idea and chose Death as well. We almost have the same lineup but I manage to squeeze in a gladiator, Whistling Damon, which shifted the victory to my side.

Battle 6 - Rulesets Explosive Weaponry + Little League (60 Mana): WON

It is a Little League battle again and this time I went with Life because Ajax Lightfoot is just so suited for this battle, fast and deadly! You can see how crazily powerful Lightfoot became because of his speed and the explosive damage ruleset here.

Battle 7 - Rulesets Unprotected + Reverse Speed (34 Mana): LOST

Unprotected ruleset with reverse speed. Usually for Reverse speed, I would go with Fire. The only issue I have is Unprotected means the shield will be disabled and Fire tanks will lose their shields. I went with Death instead and use the gladiator, Witch of Warwick.

My opponent went with Fire and use a double bloodlust tanks with Grum and Chimney Wallstop, both very slow and very suitable for the reverse speed. I lost the match as his Chimney Wallstop keep getting kills and became too strong. Still I could probably still win if I have placed my Witch at the last position instead of the 2nd last.

5 Wins out of 7 battles. Still not bad a result.

Unfortunately we lost the first position this time. But we might have been first if not for a stuck battle that was later resolve as nullify instead of awarding the match to us. This is because the match that was nullify was a match where the opponent fled while on our side our member did put up a team. So with normal resolution, it should have been a win for us.

Hopefully Splinterlands can solve these stuck battle bugs soon.
