Shopped at the traditional market

So yesterday while sitting relaxed and chatting with my mother at home , i suggested that we should eat noodles , so I decided to go and buy noodles and some other spices at the Geudong market.

It didn't take long for me to go straight to the market using my personal motorbike, when I arrived at Keude Geudong I stopped at Wholesalers to buy cooking oil and Indomie. For 10 kg of cooking oil that I bought for. 140,000 Indonesian rupees which is the equivalent of $9.4, and for 50 indomie packs that i bought for. 70,000 Indonesian rupees which is the equivalent of $4.7 , my total expenses at the grocery store yesterday afternoon were 210,000 Indonesian rupees which is an equivalent of $14...

Then I continued my journey to the traditional market located at Keude Geudong Terminal, to save time I decided to stop at the outlet at the very front, here I bought shallots, scallions and celery, for the three types of vegetables I used. I bought this for only 7,000 indonesian ruppes which is the equivalent of $0.47 . Shopping in traditional markets is indeed cheaper, in this market the vegetables are also very fresh and healthy.

There are so many benefits that we get by shopping at traditional markets, one of which is by shopping at traditional markets we can help to grow the small economy of our brothers and sisters who sell there. After everything was finished I bought I immediately went back to the house.

When I got home, I helped Mother to make clam noodles, because the process of making it was very easy and simple, about 15 minutes passed, finally the noodles that Mother made were now cooked and ready to be enjoyed....

This week is a big weekend here in the US! This weekend is Labor Day. The calendar calls for the end of summer and we will be closing it out with a large family picnic. While I have read through all the #MarketFriday posts, most twice, just because I really enjoy most of the posts. I happen to love the fact that I get so many high-quality posts, and the effort shows through. This week, some of you won't get the personal message I enjoy writing. I am running behind on time and I don't want to skip anyone's upvote or the reading of your post.

I hope you know how much it means to me to have so many people joining in on the fun. Hopefully, you will have learned a few more different ways to present #MarketFriday easier to present. I know some have already been thinking outside of the box and some use their market day - either way is great and I love it either way. Thank you, thank you for supporting #MarketFriday!

I have personally found there is always so much to learn about people, where they live, and how things are done in different parts of the world. For me, reaching out across the globe and learning about different cultures through their markets, especially local markets and farmers' markets, has been such a rewarding experience. We have become a melting pot of culture, but, it is still the rituals, festivals, food, architecture, and even your language/languages that separate us... and what is normal for us? There are unwritten rules that rule our social behaviors. I see this as allowing for increased tolerance between cultures and nations, and opportunities to come together on an even playing ground. I have learned so much about all of you and it has been an amazing experience. We do differ in many ways, which makes us interesting and unique, but, there are many ways in which are so much alike.

Fridays are all about the #MarketFriday Challenge! Looking to take part in it? Here is how:

Rules of the Road to Join #MarketFriday!

  1. Go to the market, or anywhere that you pay money for a service.
    Take pictures! Be creative!
  2. Tell us a little bit about the market or the event. What brought you there? What did you buy? How much did it cost? Was it expensive or cheap? Did it go up or down? Please do not post 30 pictures with no words about them.Do not use pictures more than once in a post!
  3. Post the pictures. Of course, you should tell a little bit about the ones you post, it is too difficult to guess on some
    4. #MarketFriday must be your first tag.
Use the MarketFriday Community Platform to post (#hive-196308) This is not required but appreciated.
    5. PLEASE Drop the link into the MarketFriday comment section so I can find it!!
  4. Following me and reblogging the post would be appreciated, but not a rule, more vision for more views on the #MarketFriday posts!
    7. You must put #MarketFriday by @dswigle somewhere on your post.
As always, please remember! #MarketFriday loves you!
