It would be interesting to see what happens but I honestly don't know. I just don't see the yuan as a good alternative and until there is a good alternative for the reserve currency, I can't see the dollar disappearing. As for the Fed now, I think it's just a faster settlement system so I don't think it does much but allow the banks a way to compete with things like Paypal.
