BTC ups and down
I have been looking at Bitcoin prices since this morning (it is noon here right now as I write this) and if you look at the coinmarketcap.com chart I am posting here you will notice that BTC started the day out at around $62,000.00 went all the way down to $58,000.00 and from that moment it has been fluctuating between $60,000.00 and 58,000.00.
Now what causes this movement? I tend to think that crypto including Bitcoin are so volatile that any news can have an effect on its price. But what news has been around today to account for such a major move in prices in matters of minutes? I know of nothing, except maybe the detention of Durov, the Telegram owner. But I don't think that has much to do with price volatility. Maybe it is legislation that some people have heard of, negative legislation, and that is causing nervous movement.
In any case, I was really thinking Bitcoin would go above $100,000.00 this year but am being forced to revise that belief. Now I doubt it will even see $80,000.00 this year, that is if it doesn't dump completely. I guess stopping all the wars could help?
