You must have head that proper planning is the best way to defeat time-wasting. If you intend to work to achieve a certain milestone, then you should be able to raw a plan. Knowing what to do, When to do it, Which of the task to accomplish first, and which to take last, Which will be of great impact and which is less relevant, and so on. Not properly planning how to get the task done and in the right will lead to an unproductive working experience which will definitely affect the result of the work, and when the reward for the work done is money, then it has been lost.

Another fact you should know is that, it goes beyond setting plans. Setting plans is one thing, not being distracted is another. While working, it is very good to put your phone off, and in some phones, you can put them in Work Mode. Working and getting notifications from social media platforms, as well as calls that are not necessary and messages that could distract you while being focused, is not good for productivity. It is very important to get yourself out of the things that keep you fun and alive, such as social media platforms, when working, so you do not need to keep thinking of where you stopped and where you want to continue from.

Allowing friends and unwanted guest while working can be a very great distraction. When your friends come into your place of work to discuss matters not related to work, then you will certainly start to loss concentration and then begin to find it hard going back into what you were doing before they came in.

Working for a very long time can lead to distractions. The fact that you work for a very long time, doesn't mean that you were concentrating at those times. It is good to give short breaks between work time, so you can be able to refresh yourself and get it work done with new energy and focus. Working for too long has proven to cause less productivity.

This said, you can use the above productive decision in all aspect that requires productivity. As an employee, try to work on being more productive, and gradually, you will start to become very important in the firm.
