Un azulejo para alegrar el día 🐦💛💙 (Pintura en acuarela) / A bluebird to brighten the day 🐦💛💙 (Watercolor painting)

Saludos hivers. Me encanta dibujar y pintar aves así que hoy me provocó hacer una pintura con un lindo pajarito 🐦. Quería pintar una que tuviese colores fuertes y llamativos, me puse a revisar por internet y por supuesto había muchas jajaja, porque la mayoría de las aves se caracterizan por ser muy coloridas, sin embargo, tenía que elegir una y seleccioné un azulejo del este.

Hello hivers. I love drawing and painting birds so today it provoked me do a painting with a cute little bird 🐦. I wanted to paint one that had strong and striking colors, I started looking online and of course there were many hahaha, because most birds are characterized by being very colorful, however, I had to choose one and I selected an eastern bluebird.

El protagonista de mi pintura de hoy es un azulejo gorjicanelo o pájaro azul del este (Sialia sialis), este pajarito vive en Nicaragua, Honduras, las islas Bermudas y en la región oriente de norteamérica.

The protagonist of my painting today is a blue-throated bluebird or eastern bluebird (Sialia sialis), this little bird lives in Nicaragua, Honduras, the Bermuda Islands and in the eastern region of North America.

Los materiales que utilicé fueron: una cartulina reciclada, lápiz, borrador, acuarelas, agua, pinceles y pintura blanca. Vamos con el proceso creativo para darle vida a esta ave. El primer paso es realizar el boceto.

The materials I used were: recycled cardboard, pencil, eraser, watercolors, water, brushes and white paint. Let's go with the creative process to give life to this bird. The first step is to make the sketch.

Lo primero que hice fue pintar el pecho con dos tonalidades de amarillo, primero el tono más claro y luego el más oscuro para dar forma en algunas zonas. La parte inferior del abdomen es blanca así que usé azul celeste diluido con bastante agua para resaltar el área.

The first thing I did was paint the chest with two shades of yellow, first the lightest tone and then the darkest to give shape in some areas. The lower part of the abdomen is white so I used light blue diluted with quite a bit of water to highlight the area.

Ahora el turno del azul, apliqué azul celeste en la cabeza y las alas y con un azul más oscuro fui marcando las plumas. También pinté la cola con una mezcla de azul oscuro y un poquito de negro.

Now the turn of blue, I applied light blue on the head and wings and with a darker blue I marked the feathers. I also painted the tail with a mix of dark blue and a little bit of black.

Mezclé amarillo y naranja para pintar las plumas del pecho y con azul celeste pinté las patas.

I mixed yellow and orange to paint the chest feathers and with light blue I painted the legs.

Pinté la pupila y las patas con negro, y con marrón, el iris y la rama donde está parado este azulejo del este.

I painted the pupil and legs with black, and with brown, the iris and the branch where this eastern bluebird is standing.

Para el fondo utilicé verde claro en la parte inferior y verde más oscuro en la superior y agregué detalles de la madera a la rama.

For the background I used light green on the bottom and darker green on the top and added details of the wood to the branch.

Llegó el momento de los detalles que le darán vida y naturalidad a mi pintura, primero, unos toques de luz en las patas, luego el turno del pico, para pintarlo apliqué azul celeste arriba y negro abajo, usé azul oscuro para las sombras y el orificio nasal y por último con un poquito de pintura blanca iluminé el ojo y la punta del pico.

The time has come for the details that will give life and naturalness to my painting, first, some highlights on the legs, then the turn of the beak, to paint it I applied light blue above and black below, I used dark blue for the shadows and the nostril and finally with a little white paint I highlighted the eye and the tip of the beak.

Y este es el resultado final, una encantadora ave de vibrantes colores y una tierna mirada ☺️.

And this is the final result, a charming bird with vibrant colors and a tender look ☺️.

Hoy fue una tarde muy nublada, con viento y una ligera lluvia, este tipo de clima me parece bastante aburrido jajaja así que sentarme un rato a pintar me ayudó a divertirme, y por supuesto, lo disfruté mucho 😁.

Today was a very cloudy afternoon, with wind and a light rain, this type of weather seems quite boring to me hahaha so sitting down for a while to paint helped me have fun, and of course, I enjoyed it a lot 😁.
