Saludos hivers. Cuando se trata de capturar los detalles que nos rodean, la naturaleza nos ofrece una infinita variedad de ellos, y la fotografía en blanco y negro es perfecta para darles un mayor protagonismo, así que en mi proceso de seguir aprendiendo a manejar este formato estuve revisando algunas fotos de mis archivos que me permitieran resaltar esos detalles que pudieran verse interesantes en monocromático.

Hello hivers. When it comes to capturing the details that surround us, nature offers us an infinite variety of them, and black and white photography is perfect for giving them greater prominence, so in my process of continuing to learn how to handle this format I was reviewing some photos from my files that would allow me to highlight those details that could look interesting in monochrome.

Es más que obvio que la naturaleza está llena de colores, sin embargo, no todo lo que se ve hermoso a color, tiene el mismo efecto a la vista cuando lo pasamos a blanco y negro, es algo que realmente me genera mucha curiosidad.

It's more than obvious that nature is full of colors, however, not everything that looks beautiful in color has the same effect when we convert it to black and white, it's something that really makes me very curious.

Y el secreto es la luz, de hecho, cuando empecé a hacer publicaciones en este formato, estuve investigando y ciertamente, aprender a manejar o a aprovechar la luz adecuadamente es lo que hará que una fotografía en blanco y negro tenga ese efecto introspectivo, limpio y minimalista que la hace ver totalmente diferente a su versión a color.

And the secret is the light, in fact, when I started making posts in this format, I was researching and certainly, learning to manage or take advantage of light properly is what will make a black and white photograph have that introspective, clean and minimalist effect that makes it look completely different from its color version.

Aprender a manejar la luz y saber cómo sacarle el máximo provecho es algo que aún no he puesto en práctica pero no debe ser nada fácil jajaja, estas fotos no las hice pensando en cambiarlas de formato, sin embargo, creo que la transformación les sienta bien. Supongo que dentro de un estudio fotográfico es fácil ajustar la luz a nuestra conveniencia, pero en una montaña, una playa o cualquier otro espacio donde la luz está fuera de nuestro control debe ser una tarea muy complicada y es ahí donde el trabajo y el conocimiento de un fotógrafo profesional marcan la diferencia.

Learning to manage light and knowing how to get the most out of it's something that I have not yet put into practice but it can't be easy at all hahaha, I didn't take these photos thinking about changing their format, however, I think the transformation suits them well. I suppose that inside a photographic studio it's easy to adjust the light to our convenience, but in a mountain, a beach or any other space where the light is out of our control it must be a very complicated task and that is where the work and knowledge from a professional photographer makes all the difference.

Disfruto mucho leer las publicaciones de todos los talentosos fotógrafos que están aquí en Hive y que comparten sus conocimientos y su trabajo monocromático con todos nosotros, de hecho, gracias a ellos es que he sentido la motivación y la curiosidad de explorar este formato e intentar experimentar por mí misma con él, porque la verdad es que nunca me había llamado mucho la atención la fotografía en blanco y negro jajaja, pero siempre me ha gustado aprender cosas nuevas así que bien vale la pena intentarlo 😉.

I really enjoy reading the posts of all these talented photographers who are here in Hive and who share their knowledge and their monochromatic work with all of us, in fact, thanks to them I have felt the motivation and curiosity to explore this format and try to experiment by myself with it because the truth is that black and white photography had never really caught my attention hahaha, but I have always liked to learn new things so it's well worth trying 😉.
