El gallo de mi infancia 🐓, acuarela sobre cartón reciclado / The rooster of my childhood 🐓, watercolor on recycled cardboard

Saludos hivers. Una de las cosas que más me divierte es ver videos donde hacen cosas para asustar a los demás 🤫😈😼🤭🤣🤣🤣, sin embargo, el otro día estaba viendo un video de niños y adultos corriendo, pero no porque alguien los asustase sino porque eran perseguidos por algún gallo 🐓😬🤣. Muchos pensarán que no tiene nada de gracioso ser perseguido por un furioso gallo, pues no, pero igual da risa jajaja 🤷🏻‍♀️.

Hello hivers. One of the things that amuses me the most is watching videos where they do things to scare others 🤫😈😼🤭🤣🤣🤣, however, the other day I was watching a video of children and adults running, but not because someone scared them but rather because they were chased by roosters 🐓😬🤣. Many will think that there is nothing funny about being chased by an angry rooster, well no, but it's still funny hahaha 🤷🏻‍♀️.

Ese video me trajo recuerdos de mi infancia en Grecia, cuando era pequeña me atacó uno de los gallos de la granja de mi abuela, me persiguió por todo el corral hasta que me arrinconó y ahí me picoteó varias veces en las piernas y el trasero 😬🥴🤣. Yo gritaba pidiendo auxilio a mi abuela hasta que finalmente ella salió con una vara para asustar al gallo, pero antes, empezó a reírse y me dijo que no le tuviera miedo jajaja 🤷🏻‍♀️.

That video brought back memories of my childhood in Greece, when I was little one of the roosters from my grandmother's farm attacked me, he chased me around the farmyard until he cornered me and there he pecked me several times on my legs and butt 😬🥴🤣. I screamed for help from my grandmother until finally she came out with a stick to scare the rooster, but before that, she started laughing and told me not to be afraid of him hahaha 🤷🏻‍♀️.

Este no muy grato pero bastante divertido y gracioso recuerdo me inspiró a dibujar un gallo, es un animal imponente, muy llamativo por sus colores y su característica cresta, y que además, nos genera mucho respeto cuando lo vemos caminando erguido en el corral o cuando se dispone a hacer su canto matutino jejeje.

This not very pleasant but quite fun and funny memory inspired me to draw a rooster, it's an imposing animal, very striking for his colors and his characteristic crest, and which also generates a lot of respect when we see him walking upright in the corral or when he is preparing to do his morning song hehehe.

Bueno, manos a la obra 🎨🖌️. Estoy usando cartones reciclados para mis pinturas así que para dibujar este gallo usé una caja de pasta dental, lápiz, acuarelas y un poquito de pintura blanca. Lo primero que hice fue dibujar al gallo.

Well, let's get to work 🎨🖌️. I'm using recycled cardboard for my paintings so to draw this rooster I used a box of toothpaste, pencil, watercolors and a little bit of white paint. The first thing I did was draw the rooster.

Empecé a darle color, el gallo de mi infancia del que les hablé, era blanco, pero este gallo será naranja con azul así que los primeros colores que le puse fueron amarillo y naranja para las plumas superiores, también usé un tono claro para el pico.

I started to color it, the rooster from my childhood that I told you about, was white, |column1|column2|column3|

this rooster will be orange with blue so the first colors I put on him were yellow and orange for the upper feathers, I also used a light tone for the beak.

Seguidamente usé rosado y rojo para la cresta, el pileo y el lóbulo. También dos tonos de azul para el cuerpo.

Next I used pink and red for the crest, pileus and lobe. I also used two shades of blue for the body.

Los gallos tienen ojos penetrantes y de colores llamativos, este los tiene anaranjados. Agregué más detalles en rojo en la cresta y el resto de la cara del gallo.

Roosters have piercing and strikingly colored eyes, this one has orange eyes. I added more red details to the crest and the rest of the rooster's face.

Pinté el fondo con varias tonalidades de verde. Para darle más realismo al plumaje utilicé un pincel fino y colores violeta y naranja donde correspondían.

I painted the background with various shades of green. To give more realism to the plumage I used a fine brush and violet and orange colors where appropriate.

Llegó el momento de darle vida a este gallo y eso sólo se logra a través de los ojos así que pinté la pupila y le di dos puntos de luz a su mirada. Unos últimos detalles en rojo para que la cresta, el lóbulo y el pileo se vean más realistas, y listo.

The time came to give life to this rooster and that can only be achieved through the eyes, so I painted the pupil and gave two points of light to his gaze. A few last details in red to give more realism to the crest, lobe and pileus, and that's it.

Y este es el resultado final 🐓. ¿Qué les parece? Yo quedé muy satisfecha con mi gallo jejeje, la parte que más me costó fue el pileo, la cresta y el lóbulo 🥴 pero lo logré 😁.

And this is the final result 🐓. What do you think? I was very satisfied with my rooster hehe, the part that cost me the most was the pileus, the crest and the lobe 🥴, but I did it 😁.

¿Sabían que las gallinas son las aves más numerosas del planeta? Según los cálculos, hay más de 16 mil millones 🙀. Puede que no tenga ningún corral en mi casa pero este gallo tiene su pequeño jardín 🌱🐓🤭🤭.

Did you know that chickens are the most numerous birds on the planet? According to calculations, there are more than 16 billion 🙀. I may not have any corral in my house but this rooster has his little garden 🌱🐓🤭🤭.
