More shitography

1000019555.jpg

Being bad at photography means there's no pressure on me in respect of what photos I post on my blog; no one expects great photography so I'm able to post virtually anything such as this terrible photo I took last week when I was away for several days.

This was taken at a lake although it looks a little like the ocean I suppose; it's a really cool camping spot I know and go to now and then to do some kayaking.

On this occasion I left the kayak on dry land, it was a little too windy for paddling...well, paddling with the wind is nice but turning around and paddling back to camp against the wind sucks major ass, so the kayak stayed out of the water and I entertained myself in other ways.

Living where I do gives me many opportunities to camp at such places and despite not being able to go as often as I like these days due to other commitments I get out and about as much as possible and love every minute.

Have you been out camping lately and if so did you take any shit photos like mine?

Also I can't see the shitograph, maybe it's not loading for me, that happens sometimes.

You captured a good angle of that lake, I thought it was an ocean cause it's vast. It's hard to do campings in my situation right now cause work eats a lot of my time but hoping that I could give myself some me time with nature once my PTO was approve.

I hope you manage to get out and do some camping sometime, it's good fun.

I think you’re lying, with a chop like that it has to be the ocean!

Paddling in those conditions is indeed tough. It depends if you want a great workout or not! I’ve done it once or twice and it’s definitely intense!

Nope, definitely a lake, I know because I was there.

'More Shitography' might lead one to expect to see shiitake mushrooms in your post, but nooo...not one fucking mushroom lol. Just one photograph which is most certainly not shitography. I mean look at that horizon line!.....dead center. It's good :)

Shit photos of shiitake mushrooms would be some good shit, no shit!

Thanks for your comment, it inspires me to take more shit photos.

I don't know why you think your photos are so bad. I think they are pretty great. The natural beauty you choose to immerse yourself in really makes it hard to take a bad photo I would imagine!

The photo although it could have been better in the hands of an expert photographer.I mean to take a closer look at what is in the photo, it serves to convey what you did with the kayak, I have not participated in that type of activities you do, it must be great to be outdoors, greetings @galenkp

Yeah, I'm not a professional photographer and have no desire to be one...I take photos and if they are ok then good, if they are shit then that's ok too.

It immediately struck me that it looked like the sea, but .... so many clouds told me you were inland....

Knowing very little about Australia whenever I read you I always find your exploration trips quite risky because I think you can always run into dangerous animals, like in that lake where maybe there are some species to look out for....

As for my crappy pics, the most I could reach this week was a young gecko that was wandering around one of the rooms in my house.....

Pictures of yours will always be good...I'm trying to see if I can take any halfway good ones of a woman's purse....🙂

This week we have been horribly punished with no power, no connection and the mother of tomatoes...🤦🏼‍♀️

Hope you are enjoying this weekend.

Australia is awesome, so much to explore and the views are pretty spectacular.

A shame you had no power but hopefully you have enough to do your post for the topics. I'll look out for it. Or gecko photos. Lol.

A young and very brave gecko, they don't even run away from me anymore, they are at home and the truth is that I love them!

Last greetings.

Thanks

I never loved camping. We could only afford a few vacations and that wasn't my idea of one.

Some couples we knew, invited me and the hubs for a week. I wasn't interested but the hubby was, so I agreed to go. Since it was not something we normally did (we had a few times for a weekend, but not many), there were some things we needed to gather in. I made a list of all the things I could think of we might need for a week. I asked the hubs to go over it in case there was something I didn't think of, but he didn't. He also didn't help get anything ready in any way. So... the week, was actually 9 days. We went, set up, greeted the others and then I got a book and enjoyed reading out in nature. I acted like I was on vacation. LOL... and enjoyed some boating and sail boarding, hiking, reading and eating sandwiches and chips and the such. My cousin, who was there too, felt bad for my hubby because I wasn't cooking up a bunch of vittles to feed him every day and invited him to breakfast which she cooked inside the kitchen of their camper. (we were in a nice tent) & (my hubby was a good cook and wasn't starving while I was on vacation) ha ha.... I was nice and social, but I was on vacation !

Because I had no help, not even a list "look over", that was my last time.

I know, That made me sound like a witch,

Camping isn't for everyone.

I've stayed in some of the best hotels one can find, cabins, villas and so on...but I love camping too, there's a certain freedom to it and I like the fact I have to be quite self reliant...no room service and all.

Anyway, I reckon if you came camping with me you'd like it...I'll teach you some bushcraft and while I'm not good at telling jokes I can be a funny fucker.

Not a camping guy myself, but I like that photo. It looks creepy with those dead trees in the water.

0

Yeah, the water is a little salty and when the salt content rises too high it kills off trees. Those ones have been dead for a long time.

Definitely not a terrible photo, that's a pretty good shot. And seriously, that's not an ocean? But it looks like one though w(°o°)w.

It looked like the sea but on the other side I see land... it's a great picture, but it reminded me of some suspense movie, scary and stuff. There are snakes in that place right?

I imagined being in that place camping, just sounds of nature, how cool!

I hope to go to the bush soon! There's nothing there at all!

Yep, it's a lake, a fairly big one,but a lake nonetheless.

Snakes? Yep of course, all of Australia has snakes, even the cities sometimes.

Alright I will level with you. I think the word shitography needs to be added to the dictionary, not least so that others can understand where they're going wrong.

Although your picture is stunning I think. I have no idea why you think its shitography.

But I really do think you should set up the project shitography using the tag #shitography and invite genuine shitographs and see what you get.

I prefer modesty so am never going to come out with, this photo is stunning, in respect of a photo I take. I don't want my photos to be stunning either, just a representation of the moment I was in when it was taken; the true value is in the real life moment, not the split second captured by a camera that could never really convey the true moment no matter how hard it tries.

Thanks for your comment.

Hi Galen, that's a great picture. And I agree on the important thing about the lack of pressure.

I've camped when I was young, at that time we didn't have cell phones with cameras and we didn't usually take analog cameras to campouts. So I don't keep any pictures of my camping trips.

A hug

Digital cameras make it so much easier these days, and phones easier again although I sometimes go on trips where I don't take either.

You are quite right, advances in digital technology make it possible for the camera to automatically adapt to light and other circumstances, which makes it much easier for people like me, true amateurs of photography, to take pictures. For my part, I am very grateful to digital technology.
