Hola amantes del cine y la televisión en hive, una vez más como es costumbre les compartiré mi opinión sobre series y películas que he visto recientemente, en este caso termine hace poco de ver serie inspirada en los cómics (y en su película) de Scott Pilgrim, pero está vez que se basa en otra trama y además es al estilo anime, y me encantó, creo que es una serie que vale completamente la pena a pesar de las expectativas que tenía la gente sobre ella y la trama estuvo increíble, hizo que a pesar de que no me gustara la trama de las historias de Scott pilgrim me enamorara de los personajes y de cada una de sus personalidades, sin más que decir espero les guste y los invito a leerme! 🎬✨

Hello movie and TV lovers in hive, once again as usual I will share with you my opinion about series and movies I have seen recently, in this case I recently finished watching a series inspired by the comics (and its movie) of Scott Pilgrim, but this time it is based on another plot and it is also anime style, and I loved it, I think it's a series that is completely worth it despite the expectations that people had about it and the plot was amazing, it made me fall in love with the characters and each of their personalities, without more to say I hope you like it and I invite you to read me! 🎬✨

Hablando un poco sobre el cast de la serie nos encontramos con la increíble sorpresa de que los actores que estuvieron en el live-action de la historia volvieran para darle de nuevo vida a sus personajes, la cuál fue una gran y grata sorpresa para los fans. Contamos con las voces de Michael Cera como Scott Pilgrim, Mary Elizabeth Winstead como Ramona Flowers, quienes son los protagonistas principales de la historia. También contamos con las voces de Aubrey Plaza, Chris Evans, Brie Larson, Kieran Culkin, Anna Kendrick, Alison Pill, Brandon Routh, Jason Schwartzman, Johnny Simmons, Mark Webber, Mae Whitman y Ellen Wong, quienes nuevamente luego de 13 años volvieron para darle vida a aquellos personajes llenos de personalidad, carisma, carácter y sobretodo ganas de pelear.

Estos actores y actrices se unieron para prestar sus voces a los personajes que ya conocemos está vez la historia toma una trama diferente y así como ésta cambia los personajes también, teniendo un desarrollo y giro completamente nuevo en sus personalidades y vidas. Una vez más alguien llegó para cambiarlo todo y la vida de todos.

Ésta serie de televisión japonesa-estadounidense de género acción, comedia, fantasía que transmitida en a través de la plataforma de streaming Netflix estrenó su primera temporada el 17 de noviembre del 2023, tiene 8 episodios y estos varían desde 28 minutos a 30 minutos de duración.

La trama es la que recordaremos de la película, Scott un chico de Toronto quien vive con su compañero de piso Wallace y quién tiene una banda llamada los "Sex Bobom" tiene una relación con una chica de secundaria a pesar de este tener ya 23 años, un día en uno de sus sueños ve a la que califica como la chica de sus sueños patinando de un lado a otro pero no puede ver su rostro, al hablar con algunas de sus amigas descubre que ésta chica se llama Ramona Flowers y que recientemente acaba de llegar a Toronto desde estados unidos, desde ahí Scott decide que va a salir con ella pero lo que no sabe es que tendrá que enfrentar a sus ex's para poder ganar el corazón de Ramona. Los capítulos se centran luego en descubrir quién ha raptado a Scott Pilgrim pero para saberlo Ramona debe emprender un viaje y tener una charla (e incluso peleas) con sus 7 ex's malvados.

Ver esta serie es estar dispuesto a entrar en otro mundo, uno lleno de colores, chismes, música y diversión pero sobretodo peleas, la historia de Scott Pilgrim se destaca por tener ese estilo de videojuego de batallas en donde los personajes se enfrentan épicamente para obtener al final un vencedor y esto no dista mucho de lo que veremos en la serie, está serie está cargada de peleas de los que menos esperamos y lo más genial de todo es que son peleas llenas de dinamismo y mucha mucha diversión. Algo que notaremos es que veremos mucho a Ramona Flowers pero esto es de gran importancia para la historia ya que ella es (y ha sido) uno de los elementos más importantes dentro de la historia de Scott Pilgrim, no solo por el hecho de que Scott deba pelear por su amor sino porque hay toda una historia sobre ella que debe ser desenvuelta y en ella se mostrará como esto tiene gran relación con lo que está pasando con Scott. Es una serie llena de sorpresas ya que todos los que hemos visto el live-action tenemos una pequeña idea de como se desarrolla la historia pero aún así los creadores de la serie no quisieron abandonar esa trama, podemos ver varios escenarios con escenas que nos devolverán a la película del 2010 y que nos dirán que hubiera pasado si todo se hubiera dado de forma diferente.

It is a series full of surprises since all of us who have seen the live-action have a small idea of how the story unfolds but still the creators of the series did not want to abandon that plot, we can see several scenarios with scenes that will bring us back to the 2010 movie and that will tell us what would have happened if everything had happened differently.

Algo que me gustó mucho de esta serie es el como vemos a personajes que casi no tuvieron protagonismo dentro de la película live-action tener su propio momento de brillar, podemos conocer más aún el otro lado de ellos además de que el creador de la serie tomo la oportunidad para darle un cambio radical a toda la historia, no solo de los personajes, sino de todo. A pesar de que fue un poco controversial el hecho de que la serie tomara otro rumbo creo que es una buena oportunidad para ver el otro lado de la moneda con esta historia, podemos ver un gran cambio en el personaje de Ramona quien no solo debe ayudar a Scott sino debe resolver sus asuntos pendientes con sus ex's, sabemos que Ramona es la típica chica radical y diferente pero en esta serie podemos ver más sobre ella, sobre su pasado y el efecto que fue dejando en cada una de sus ex parejas, es una forma diferente de verla porque ella va cambiando a medida que avanza la serie y podemos ver este cambio en su cabello que va reflejando los cambios en su personalidad y en su vida, es una forma magnífica de simbolizar el cambio a través de los colores de su cabello, sus estados de ánimo sin perder ese estilo diferente que la caracteriza.

Something that I really liked about this series is how we see characters that had almost no protagonism in the live-action movie have their own moment to shine, we can know even more the other side of them and the creator of the series took the opportunity to give a radical change to the whole story, not only of the characters, but of everything. Although it was a little controversial the fact that the series took another direction I think it is a good opportunity to see the other side of the coin with this story, we can see a big change in the character of Ramona who not only must help Scott but must solve her pending issues with her ex's, we know that Ramona is the typical radical and different girl but in this series we can see more about her, about her past and the effect she left in each of her ex partners, it is a different way to see her because she is changing as the series progresses and we can see this change in her hair that reflects the changes in her personality and in her life, it is a great way to symbolize the change through the colors of her hair, her moods without losing that different style that characterizes her.

Hay una frase que combina muy bien con lo que es la trama de esta serie y es "Luchar con tu pasado para resolver tu futuro" ya que para poder vivir el presente debe batallar con tu pasado y ganar así podrá seguir adelante y algo que se ve muy reflejado en esta historia, en Ramona y en los demás personajes dentro de ella ya que luego de resolver lo que fueron sus problemas del pasado estos pudieron avanzar y tener un nuevo futuro, nuevos gustos, nuevas oportunidades y es algo que es bastante genial, ver como podemos cambiar al enfrentar nuestro pasado. Una cosa que debe estar clarísima al ver la serie es el tener la mente abierta ya que el mismo creador de la serie contó que ésta es un historia alternativa y que no porque sea alternativa quiere decir que no es canon, la historia se desarrolla espléndidamente alrededor de los 8 episodios y el desenlace es excelente pero esto solo lo verás de esta forma si tienes en mente que es una historia diferente a la de los cómics o el live-action sin dejar la escencia de todos los personajes y sus elementos.

A pesar de que quizás no exista una segunda temporada de ésta historia me quedo bastante satisfecha con como resultaron todas las cosas, como se desarrollaron los eventos y el final de cada uno de los personajes, es una historia que se dedica a darle un cierre a las historias de los personajes considerados secundarios, se busca darle también más protagonismo a Ramona, de la cuál en el live-action no sé conocía mucho de su historia además de sus ex's, Scott también sufre cambios pero estos no se ven sino hasta después de algunos episodios pero se nota que algo en el cambió luego de todo lo que sucedió. La animación es totalmente espectacular, llena de colores, luces y estilos, muestran un muy colorido universo y ayudan a darle más historia a las vidas de los personajes con sus aspectos y formas de ser, los chistes no pasan desapercibidos y se mantiene constantemente frescos y muy divertidos. Es general es una serie bastante buena y la recomiendo, aunque si ayudaría tener un poco de contexto sobre la historia ya sea leyendo los cómics o viendo la película live-action (como fue en mi caso) ya que esto da mayor comprensión con respecto a los sucesos y las personalidades de cada uno de los personajes. Muy divertida y brillante serían dos palabras claves que usaría para definirla, esta llena de mucho simbolismo y batallas épicas que ayudan al desarrollo de la historia, además de que con la animación es totalmente espectacular.

Overall it is a pretty good series and I recommend it, although it would help to have some context about the story either by reading the comics or watching the live-action movie (as it was in my case) as this gives more understanding regarding the events and personalities of each of the characters. Very funny and brilliant would be two key words I would use to define it, it is full of a lot of symbolism and epic battles that help the development of the story, plus the animation is totally spectacular.
