Magma that melts entire teams! | Curious Battles 43#
On this occasion a hot battle took place and never better said because "Living Magma" ended up melting the plans of my rival although with great difficulty because he almost fell in his debut.

For the first place an epic card was my choice "Tusk the Wide", with "void" but little damage and low speed at first glance seems a bad choice, but the battle conditions benefited the slowest and since lately there are so many strategies with a lot of magic damage, my idea was to have a good block against those cases, however, for this occasion I did not predict correctly because there were no mages in the opposing team.
In enemy territory a powerful "Sea Monster" appeared, with an intimidating level 4, the ability to heal and a large amount of damage, this managed to do a lot of damage among my monsters, however, it fell before being able to finish with the key card of my team in this battle.
For the second position "exploding dwarf", since the battle condition allowed him to attack from that position, my idea was to take advantage of his "blast" and great damage, but things did not go as well as I wanted and he fell pretty fast. Clearly I did not take into account that his speed left him at a disadvantage against the present condition, he was quite vulnerable although he managed to hurt the Sea Monster a little. This explosive companion fell before the coup de grace of the healer "Crustacean King".
On the opposite lines, "SpineBack Turtle" was the choice and despite his low damage, he did a lot of damage with his ability and made me quite nervous because together with "Battle Orcas" he was one of the monsters that could have totally changed the end of the battle.
In third position, the mining ants did their species proud, known for their scavenging nature and for turning many battles around, he was supporting in the offensive and tanking a bit while "Living Magma" wreaked havoc from behind. He managed to accumulate 6 health points before the spines of "SpineBack Turtle" hurt him, after which he was riddled by the attacks of the orcas, the "cousin" of the healing crustacean and the popular stonefish.
In rival terrain, "Battle Orcas" was one of the most damaging to my formation and one of the few that could hurt "Living Magma", despite not having an ability, they have good damage and considerable life points in relation to the little mana they require.
In the fourth position shone with a red glow "Living Magma" a tank with the ability "shield" well known on the battlefield. His slowness, which often makes it difficult for him to finish off slippery enemies, was one of his strong points on this occasion due to the battle condition. And not only that, but both conditions blessed him, creating a fierce and resistant attacker that from a distance weakened (with the support of his teammates) the powerful Sea Monster.
But things did not end there, at one point he ran out of support and because of his "shield" ability most of the remaining offensive in the opposing team was unable to damage him, so that he was able to sweep the entire opposing team and secure the victory.
As for the rearguard, I had no more mana to include more monsters, although I clearly forgot my faithful companion, the "Furious Chicken". My opponent instead placed "Hardy StoneFish" and the well-known "Crustacean King" which kept the powerful "Sea Monster" on its feet for a while longer.

Extra Curious facts:
I think that if I had placed the card "Battle Orcas" a little further back in his formation, my opponent would have won this battle, because with the damage from spines added to that of these orcas (with a little more distance, of course), they would have ended up winning unless Living Magma dodged several times when supported by the "Reverse Speed" condition. But that positioning error cost this popular tank "melted" his entire team. I make those kinds of mistakes often too, usually by deciding too quickly on the battle formation or ignoring the battle conditions.
My opinion:
Living Magma is a great card for effective tanking, it has Shield and as it levels up its defensive attitude increases and its "cannon" increases in caliber because its base damage also increases and it is able to affect the armor of the opposing team in addition to gaining the ability "thorns" that inflicts damage to those who hit it with physical attacks. However, its price is high, so I recommend opting for rentals if you do not have the capital for the purchase investment.
