Mr. Pizza Sculpture #HivePizzaParty [ENG/SPA]
Today, May 22nd (in my country it is still May 22nd), is Bitcoin Pizza Day, where some crypto lovers buy pizza with Bitcoin, or other cryptocurrencies.
It is quite an interesting occasion to celebrate the existence of cryptocurrencies and eat pizza in the process.
In my case I wasn't able to go out for pizza early but a bit late (I'll tell you later), but I wanted to celebrate anyway this day by making this little figurine of Mr. Pizza.
It is a sculpture I made to share with you this celebration. Join me in the step by step of this nice figurine.
Hoy 22 de mayo (en mi país aún es 22 de mayo), se celebra el Bitcoin Pizza Day, donde algunos amantes de las criptos compramos pizza con Bitcoin, o otra criptomonedas.
Es una ocasión bastante interesante para celebrar la existencia de las criptomonedas y comer pizza en el proceso.
En mi caso no pude salir a comer pizza temprano sino un poco tarde (ya les contaré después), pero quise celebrarlo de todas maneras este día haciendo esta pequeña figurita del Señor Pizza.
Es una escultura que hice para compartir con ustedes esta celebración. Acompáñenme en el paso a paso de esta simpática figurita.
Step by step
As you know, I make figures with both plasticine and flexible dough. It's great to share with you this art so I'm going to start at the beginning and the beginning is the materials:
- Plasticine
- Wire
- Tweezers
- Thread
Paso a paso
Como saben, hago figuras tanto con plastilina como con masa flexible. Es genial compartir con ustedes este arte así que voy a comenzar por el principio y el principio son los materiales:
- Plastilina
- Alambre
- Pinzas
- Hilo
I used the tweezers, wire and thread to create the skeleton of the figure.
It is a figurine made entirely of plasticine, which takes a long time to harden, so I had to make this skeleton so that it would keep the shape of a pizza and could stand upright.
I used the thread to give more firmness to the shape of the wire.
Las pinzas, el alambre y el hilo lo utilicé para crear el esqueleto de la figura.
Es una figurita hecha enteramente con plastilina, que tarda mucho en endurecerse, así que le tuve que hacer este esqueleto para que mantuviera la forma de una pizza y pudiera mantenerse de pie.
El hilo lo usé para dar mayor firmeza a la forma del alambre.

Once I finished the skeleton of the figure, I took the plasticine and started to cover the wire support.
I used a plasticine with a color of its own, one that I obtained by mixing yellow, orange and pink.
With this color I covered the wire to create the base of the pizza. It is basically a plasticine triangle, so the only thing different about it is the edge that has the pizza on top.
Una vez que terminé el esqueleto de la figura, tomé la plastilina y comencé a cubrir el soporte de alambre.
Usé una plastilina con un color propio, uno que obtuve mezclando amarillo, naranja y rosado.
Con este color cubrí el alambre para crear la base de la pizza. Básicamente es un triángulo de plastilina, así que lo único distinto que tiene es el borde que tiene la pizza en la parte superior.

Precisely, I made this border with a different shape, as if it were a combed hair to imply that it is Mr. Pizza's hair.
Precisamente, este borde lo hice con una forma distinta, como si fuese un cabello peinado para dar a entender que es el cabello del Señor Pizza.
Continuing with the figurine, I placed a thin layer of yellow plasticine on top of the other layer I had already placed.
The orange plasticine would be the bread of the pizza, while this new yellow layer would be the cheese of the pizza.
Since it is cheese, I placed some rounded pieces of plasticine on the sides, to simulate the melted cheese.
Continuando con la figurita, coloqué una delgada capa de plastilina amarilla encima de la otra capa que ya había colocado.
La plastilina naranja vendría a ser el pan de la pizza, mientras que esta nueva capa amarilla vendría a ser el queso de la pizza.
Como es queso, le coloqué unos trozos redondeados de plastilina a los lados, para simular el queso derretido.

On the edges of the limbs I placed small spheres of orange plasticine. The arms and legs of the character come out of this part, so I wanted to make them a little thicker so that the plasticine would stick out from the wire support.
En los bordes de las extremidades coloqué pequeñas esferas de plastilina naranja. De esta parte salen los brazos y piernas del personaje, así que quise hacerlos un poco más gruesos para que sobresaliera la plastilina del soporte de alambre.
Notice that I made thin lines of yellow plasticine and cut them to cover the extremities of the character.
This one has wire on the arms and legs, so it was just a matter of covering this wire with these lines of plasticine until the metal part of the skeleton was not visible.
Fíjense que hice delgadas líneas de plastilina amarilla y las corté para cubrir las extremidades del personaje.
Este tiene alambre en brazos y piernas, así que solo fue cuestión de cubrir este alambre con estas líneas de plastilina hasta que no se viese la parte metálica del esqueleto.
I made both hands and feet in black. I thought about making them white, but black contrasts more with the yellow and orange of the character, so that dark color was better.
On the other hand, on the right hand, which is extended, I placed another slice of pizza, which our character is giving us.
Tanto manos como pies los hice de color negro. Pensé en hacerlos de color blanco, pero el negro contrasta más con el amarillo y naranja del personaje, así que ese color oscuro quedó mejor.
Por otra parte, en la mano derecha, que está extendida, coloqué otra rebanada de pizza, la cual nos está regalando nuestro personaje.

Once all these details were done, it was time to start adding the other ingredients.
I put the spicy salami (or pepperoni) first, then the mushrooms and finally some green, for contrast.
These ingredients look very good on the yellow of the pizza, so I tried to place it with bright colors, except for the white of the mushrooms, which is not white itself, but white plasticine with a little yellow and brown.
Una vez hechos todos estos detalles, fue cuestión de comenzar a colocarle los otros ingredientes.
Le coloqué primero el salami picante (o pepperoni), luego los champiñones y por último algo de verde, para hacer contraste.
Estos ingredientes lucen muy bien en el amarillo de la pizza, así que traté de colocarlo con colores vivios, salvo el blanco de los champiñones, que no es blanco en sí, sino plastilina blanca con un poco de amarillo y marrón.

The last thing I did was to make her face.
I decided on small eyes and a wide smile, with two white dots to simulate the brightness of the eyes.
I made the eyes black because, again, they make a nice contrast with the yellow of the pizza.
Lo último que hice fue hacerle la cara.
Me decidí por unos ojos pequeños y una amplia sonrisa, con dos puntos blancos para simular el brillo de los ojos.
Hice los ojos negros porque, de nuevo, hacen un buen contraste con el amarillo de la pizza.

Esta debería ser la mascota oficial del bitcoin pizza day ajajja, aunque en vez de pizza debería sostener un bitcoin, está de más decir que tienes un gran talento realmente admirables todas tus obras.
