Greetings friends. As you know, in my blog I have been making a series of Pokémon figurines.

The idea is to put together a collection of all the first generation Pokémon, all 150 of them. Today it's the turn of one of the best known and that became relatively popular with the movie Detective Pikachu, I'm talking about Psyduck.

Join me in the creative process of such a nice character.

Saludos amigos. Cómo bien saben, en mi blog he estado haciendo una serie de figuritas de Pokémon.

La idea es armar una colección de todos los Pokémon de primera generación, los 150. Hoy es turno de uno de los más conocidos y que se hizo relativamente popular con la película Detective Pikachu, les hablo de Psyduck.

Acompáñenme en el proceso creativo de tan simpático personaje.

Step by step

As with the other figurines in the collection, I made the character with plasticine. It is a Pokémon of a bright yellow color, so that was the shade of yellow I used, the most similar to the character.

Paso a paso

Al igual que con las demás figuritas de la colección, el personaje lo hice con plastilina. Es un Pokémon de un brillante color amarillo, así que ese fue la tonalidad de amarillo que usé, l más parecida a la del personaje.

I started working on the little body, which is a shape similar to that of a pear, this is the shape of Psyduck's torso, only that this person will have the top part cut off, as you can see in the image below.

Comencé a trabajar en el cuerpecito, que es una forma similar a la de una pera, está es la forma que tiene el torso de Psyduck, solo que a esta persona se le va a cortar la parte de arriba, tal cómo pueden ver en la imagen de abajo.

Psyduck, as the name says, is evidently a duck, so it has a little tail.

To make it I simply made a cone and glued it to the back of the pear shape I had made earlier, then after I smoothed the joints of the cone and the torso, I folded the tip of the cone up.

Psyduck, como su nombre lo dice, es evidentemente un pato, así que tiene una colita.

Para hacerla simplemente hice un cono y lo pegué en la parte trasera de la forma de pera que había hecho antes, luego que suavicé las uniones del cono y el torso, doblé la punta del cono hacia arriba.

Basically this is how the torso of the character is made. For the head I also used the plasticine of the same color.

You have to make a sphere and stretch it a little bit to the sides. This is the shape of Psyduck's head, round but stretched, you could say it's like a watermelon or something similar.

Básicamente así se hace el torso del personaje. Para la cabeza también usé la plastilina del mismo color.

Se debe hacer una esfera y estirarla un poco Haci alos lados. Está es la forma que tiene la cabeza de Psyduck, redonda pero estirada, se podría decir que es como una sandía o algo parecido.

After making the head, I continued with the little arms, which I also made starting with a shape similar to a pear, only more stretched upwards.

I flattened the thin end of this shape and then made the three little fingers.

Luego de hacer la cabeza continúe con los bracitos, los cuales los hice iniciando también con una forma parecida a una pera, solo que más estirada hacia arriba.

Aplasté la punta delgada de esta forma y luego hice los tres deditos.

These are the main pieces of Psyduck's body. Using wires, wooden sticks and glue I attached all the pieces in place.

I attached the head with a toothpick to the body and the arms with wires, using glue to attach the hands to each side of the head, this being the way Psyduck usually is.

Estas son las piezas principales del cuerpo de Psyduck. Mediante alambres, palillos de madera y pegamento uní todas las piezas en su lugar.

La cabeza la fijé con un palillo en el cuerpo y los brazos con alambres, usando pegamento para fijar las manos a cada lado de la cabeza, siendo está la forma en la que habitualmente está Psyduck.

For the beak I used light colored plasticine and mixed it with brown, orange and white. Then I made a shape similar to a flattened pineapple, with three protuberances in the upper part.

The middle bump is the nose and the one on the sides would be something similar to the corner of the beak, if you can call it that.

Para el pico usé plastilina cor piel clara y la mezcle con marrón, naranja y blanco. Luego hice una forma parecida a una piña aplastada, con tres protuberancias en la parte superior.

La protuberancias del medio es la nariz y la de los lados vendrían a ser algo similar a la comisura del pico, si se le puede llamar de esta manera.

I made the legs with the same plasticine cor, making it the usual shape of a duck's legs.

I used two small pieces of wire in the shape of an L to support the feet and fix them to the body.

Las patas las hice con el mismo cor de plastilina, haciéndola de la forma habitual de las patas de un pato.

Usé dos trocitos de alambre en forma de L para darle soporte a los pies y poder fijarlos en el cuerpo.

As I did with more of the other pieces, I also attached them using a little glue.

Tal cómo hice con más otras piezas, estás también las fijé usando un poco de pegamento.

The last details I made, very important details, were the eyes.

I made them with two elongated spheres of white plasticine, then I placed a dot of black plasticine in the center. After gluing them, I placed three little pieces of black plasticine on Psyduck's head, which would be like three little hairs.

Los últimos detalles que hice, detalles muy importante, fueron los ojos.

Los hice con dos esferas alargadas de plastilina blanca, luego le coloqué un puntito de plastilina negra en el centro. Después de pegarlos, le coloqué en la cabeza a Psyduck tres trocitos de plastilina negra, que vendrían a ser como tres pelitos.
