Cellphones an Advancement or Stagnate
Hi all this is @furiousboy and this is my post submission for this week's contest.
Looking at the usage of cell phones in India and in our neighborhoods one thing which comes to my mind is that people are being sucked into this technology, they are more interested in what is happening around the globe or with any celebrity rather than what issue is currently going on with their family members, neighbors or in the neighborhood. People are consuming so much of the internet and are occupied on their phones that sometimes it's really difficult to understand that the invention of cellphones has done more good to humankind or more harm.
Cellphones and the internet are a growing essential in this time and there are many usage of the same rather than the harm but then in India I have specifically observed that children are more invested in cellphones and it is doing more harm than good, I believe the learning curve and remembering capacity of humankind has reduced due to cellphones, and the quality time of humans is also reduced as they are occupied in the cellphones. I believe putting a ban or a restriction on cell phones while having family time or family dinner or get together will surely improve the bonding process and we can reduce the phone addiction cases in the new generations.
There are many cases where people are so addicted to phones that they are not aware of the what is happening around them and there have been many cases where because of cellphone the brain is getting slow and is getting clumsy and less attentive and the sleep cycle is getting disturbed due to constantly looking into the phone and being not aware of the time and so on. And with nuclear families, cellphone is the biggest problem of not bonding with the family either the parents are too busy with it or the kids are too busy with it, and sometimes both the groups are busy into it, and are ignoring the bonding time with each other and then eventually it leads to a society where people will be less sensitive and will be more harsh, rude, ignorant and so.
Cellphones are making it difficult for new generation to learn the things which can be learned from the experience or form the one who has experience when we spent quality time with our parents, grandparents we tend to learn things which are experienced by them or we can at least learn from the experienced ones there are many topics which can be discussed on a dinner table or while having a conversation with parents or grandparents about how was their day, and so, which eventually leads to hands-on experience stories and events which can not be learned via cellphones or through internet. There is already very little time on our hands to spend time with parents and vice-versa and in tier 1, and 2 cities this is a very common issue for most of the people, and wasting the what so ever time we have on cell phones is a worst choice we can make, so I believe we have to make restriction or put a ban on using of the cellphones while having lunch, dinner or family gathering.

I agree with you. I absolutely do.
The more growth we encounter that pushes us to part ways in search fot independence and greener pasture, the less time we have to enjoy fsmily gatherings.
Phknes might be a good development but they can also be distracting and a barrier to quality time. The use of it should be minimized tremendously during family moments. It takes out the most fun and it's not nice one bit.
