Heavenly Wang's Braised Chicken noodles
After a 3-hour flight back to Singapore, I was starving and craving for a nice noodle dish. I kept thinking about it while in the cabin because I took a noon-time flight. I didn't want to spend my money inside the cabin because I knew for sure that it would be expensive and it's not going to be worth it. So, as soon as I got my luggage; I immediately went to the nearest restaurant.
Outside the immigration checkpoint of Changi Terminal 3 is the Heavenly Wang restaurant. They serve local Singaporean dishes that are delicious and affordable as well. It may not be as cheap as the food that I can find in the hawker's center but it's affordable enough considering that the restaurant is inside the airport.
I ordered the Braised Chicken noodles that is priced at $7.80.
They also sell cakes and pastries but I wasn't craving for anything sweet so I skipped adding any of it as an option. I just wanted to eat something savory at this moment.
The noodles were a thin Mee Kia type and it has a nice springy texture to them that I like.
I also liked the whole braised mushroom that they added to the dish. It makes it feel and taste worth it because of it.
The chicken was overcooked but it's to the extent that it's still acceptable. It could have been a perfect dish if the chicken was done right.
If there's a small thing that I appreciate so much is the soup. It was good and very soothing especially when I came back from a long flight. This is a dish that is perfect to have during rainy weather or in any kind of situation in a day.
When will I come back to Heavenly Wang, probably on my next flight :) Cheers!
After the meal, I went for a quick tour of Terminal 3 and found that there is a spot where anyone can watch a free movie. They were playing Shrek during this moment, that's so cool!
