A Blissful Overnight Stay in Bantayan Island, Cebu

Bantayan Island is a hidden gem nestled in the northern part of Cebu, Philippines. Although it took us almost five hours to reach the island (four hours by bus from the city to the port, then one hour by ferry to the island), the journey was worth it. The island boasts stunning natural beauty and a tranquil ambiance, making it a perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of city life.

Island Adventures

We stayed on the island for just one night, but the experience was unforgettable. It was my second visit to Bantayan Island, and it was even more enchanting than the first. During my initial visit, there were limited activities, and we mostly engaged in island hopping. This time, we embarked on a different adventure.

Anika Resort

We stayed at Anika Resort, which is conveniently located just a short walk away from the beach. The resort offered cozy accommodations that made us feel right at home, setting the tone for a relaxing stay.

Seafood Delight

As soon as we settled in, we set out to find a seafood restaurant for an early dinner. Bantayan Island is known for its abundance of fresh seafood, and scallops were in plentiful supply. The meal was delightful and the perfect introduction to the island's culinary offerings.

Low Tide Beauty

In the afternoon, the tide was low, so we couldn't swim in the clear waters. However, we took the opportunity to soak in the breathtaking views of the island's pristine beaches. The calm and serene atmosphere was truly rejuvenating.

Morning Land Tour

The following morning, we decided to go on a land tour around the island. We rented motorcycles, which gave us the freedom to explore at our own pace. We visited some of the island's top tourist spots and scenic viewpoints, all while enjoying the fresh sea breeze and lush landscapes.

Farewell to Bantayan

All too soon, our time on Bantayan Island came to an end. After our morning tour, we made our way back to the city. Although our stay was brief, the memories we created will last a lifetime. Bantayan Island is a paradise worth visiting, and I can't wait to return for a longer stay to fully immerse myself in its beauty.
