A Bakery Cafe Experience in Upper Thomson

I do believe breakfast is the most important meal of the day because it serves as the first fuel that gives us the energy to start our day. Some people like skipping breakfast for some kind of fasting, and it seems to work for them, while others rely on having breakfast to jumpstart their day. I did try intermittent fasting before; however, it didn't work well for me. I just felt like I was suffering until I got to eat during lunchtime. So, I went back to the habit of having breakfast early in the morning before starting heavy tasks ahead.

It's a good thing that there are plenty of places to go to for a nice breakfast, one of them being the Yi Jia Bakery House Cafe in the Upper Thomson area.

I had the pleasure of dining at this place yesterday to experience the cafe-style traditional bakery. Of course, a nice cup of coffee was an important part of this experience too.

The place is not very large, but it's cozy enough to enjoy a nice coffee and bread. The interior is air-conditioned, which is unexpected for this type of cafe, but I believe the owners invested in it because it's something that customers will appreciate too.

They have a variety of selections to choose from, ranging from savory to sweet options. They also offer a Kaya toast set, which is a very hawker-style breakfast.

What I ordered were two breads: the first was a savory egg sandwich, and the second was a cream cheese bread. Both are my go-to choices whenever I buy from a bakery.

As I finished my breakfast at Yi Jia Bakery House Cafe, I reflected on how a good morning meal can set the tone for the entire day. Whether it's a quiet moment with coffee and bread or a bustling cafe experience, finding a breakfast routine that works for you can make all the difference in how you face the challenges ahead.

My journey to the world of food.
