Todd Gilliland de la camioneta Ford número 17 se llevó la victoria en la Clean Harbors 150, carrera de la NASCAR Camping World Truck Series, disputada en el óvalo de tierra de Knoxville Raceway, siendo esta la carrera número dos que se lleva a cabo en esta pista, en lo que a la categoría de las camionetas se refiere. Gilliland estuvo de piloto invitado en esta serie ya que no compite por el campeonato de esta tercera división, ya que está concentrado en tiempo completo a la CUP Series. Sin embargo como todo sabemos se encuentra en un equipo modesto, razón por la cual estos pilotos que se encuentran en estas condiciones, siempre buscan oportunidades ya sea en la Xfinity o en las camionetas para tratar de destacar u obtener el gane, y este fue el caso, ya que Todd Gilliland tuvo una estupenda carrera, llevándose así la victoria en la segunda carrera que se disputa en este óvalo, luego de la carrera inaugural el año pasado 2021, donde el piloto ganador no participó este año.

Later in the day, the final practice was held, where the teams make the final adjustments to their cars. La clasificación para esta carrera fue especial, donde se llevaron a cabo 4 rondas (Heat), donde los dos primeros estaban conformados por 10 pilotos y los dos últimos por 9. El primer Heat dejo como ganador a John Hunter Nemechek, seguido por Derek Kraus quien a la postre fue quien terminó saliendo en la primera posición en el inicio de la carrera, mientras que Hunter Nemechek terminó relegado a la sexta posición. El segundo Heat fue ganado por Carson Hocevar, secundado por Chandler Smith, mientras que el tercer y cuarto Heat fue ganado por Hailie Deegan y Todd Gilliland respectivamente. Finalmente el orden de salida para el inicio de la carrera quedo como les había mencionado con la primera posición para Derek Kraus, seguido por Carson Hocevar, Ben Rhodes, Stewart Friesen y Buddy Kofoid, para los primeros 5 lugares. La verdad es que este orden de salida estuvo muy confuso para mí, no lo entendí, con lo cual creo que la categoría debería aclarar mejor como fue el formato para esta clasificación y así los espectadores pueden entender mejor como se dio esto.

The qualifying for this race was special, where 4 heats (Heat) were held, where the first two were formed by 10 drivers and the last two by 9. The first Heat was won by John Hunter Nemechek, followed by Derek Kraus who ended up starting in the first position at the beginning of the race, while Hunter Nemechek was relegated to the sixth position. The second heat was won by Carson Hocevar, seconded by Chandler Smith, while the third and fourth heat was won by Hailie Deegan and Todd Gilliland respectively. Finally the starting order for the start of the race was as I had mentioned with the first position for Derek Kraus, followed by Carson Hocevar, Ben Rhodes, Stewart Friesen and Buddy Kofoid, for the first 5 places. The truth is that this starting order was very confusing for me, I did not understand it, so I think the category should clarify better how was the format for this classification and so the spectators can better understand how this happened.

El inicio de la carrera se dio el día y a la hora pautada, la cual se los comenté en la previa para esta carrera. Derek Kraus perdió la punta en el inicio de la carrera en manos de Carson Hocevar, adelantando por la parte externa de la curva 2 del óvalo de Knoxville Raceway, liderando así todas las vueltas de la primera etapa y por ende llevándose la misma. En el segundo lugar culminó Todd Gilliland, seguido por John Hunter Nemechek, Derek Kraus, Ty Majeski, Subvención Enfinger, Chandler Smith, Brett Moffitt, Matt Di Benedetto y Zane Smith (Top 10). En esta primera etapa hubo dos banderas de precaución por incidentes ya que la tercera fue para culminar el segmento como estamos acostumbrado. La primera bandera de precaución y el auto de seguridad aparecieron en el giro 3, donde Dean Thompson de la camioneta 40 hace un trompo en la curva 1, con la ayuda de Christian Eckes #98. La segunda bandera amarilla de este primer segmento fue en la vuelta 30 donde Tanner Gray #15 perdió su auto en la curva 3, donde también quedaron involucrados Spencer Boyd #12 y Buddy Kofoid #51.

The start of the race took place on the day and at the scheduled time, which I told you about in the preview for this race. Derek Kraus lost the lead at the start of the race to Carson Hocevar, overtaking on the outside of turn 2 of the Knoxville Raceway oval, thus leading all the laps of the first stage and thus taking the same. In second place was Todd Gilliland, followed by John Hunter Nemechek, Derek Kraus, Ty Majeski, Grant Enfinger, Chandler Smith, Brett Moffitt, Matt Di Benedetto and Zane Smith (Top 10). In this first stage there were two caution flags for incidents as the third was to finish the segment as we are accustomed to. The first caution flag and safety car appeared in turn 3, where Dean Thompson of the #40 truck spins in turn 1, with the help of Christian Eckes #98. The second yellow flag of this first segment was on lap 30 where Tanner Gray #15 lost his car in turn 3, where Spencer Boyd #12 and Buddy Kofoid #51 were also involved.

La segunda etapa se dio inicio con la bandera verde en la vuelta 50, luego de la parada en los pits de los líderes de la carrera. En el inicio de esta etapa la batalla por la primera posición fue muy buena entre Hocevar y Knaus, donde luego se unió Todd Gilliland, tanto así apoderarse la segunda posición que tenía Knaus. En la vuelta 56 el piloto Jessica Friesen tiene un despiste con su camioneta #64 (trompo) ocasionando así la salida del coche de seguridad a la pista y neutralizar la carrera. En la vuelta 66 el piloto Carson Hocevar quien estuvo liderando la carrera tuvo que parar su auto en pista debido a un fallo mecánico en su camioneta, ocasionando así la salida de la segunda bandera de precaución. Este segmento finalizó y nos dejó como resultado que Todd Gilliland resultó como el ganador, seguido por Zane Smith, John Hunter Nemechek, Brett Moffitt, Derek Kraus, Subvención Enfinger, Kaz Grala, Steward Friesen, Matt Crafton y Tyler Ankrum, para finalizar los primeros 10 quienes ganan los puntos de bonificación otorgados en cada una de las etapas de las carreras.

The second stage started with the green flag on lap 50, after the pit stop of the race leaders. At the beginning of this stage the battle for the first position was very good between Hocevar and Knaus, where later Todd Gilliland joined, so much so that he took over the second position held by Knaus. On lap 56 the driver Jessica Friesen has a spill with his truck #64 (spin) causing the safety car to come out on the track and neutralize the race. On lap 66 driver Carson Hocevar who was leading the race had to stop his car on track due to a mechanical failure in his truck, causing the second caution flag to come out. This segment ended with Todd Gilliland as the winner, followed by Zane Smith, John Hunter Nemechek, Brett Moffitt, Derek Kraus, Grant Enfinger, Kaz Grala, Steward Friesen, Matt Crafton and Tyler Ankrum to finish the top 10 who earn the bonus points awarded in each of the race stages.

La tercera y última etapa a las últimas 60 vueltas tuvo su comienzo, donde los pilotos Brett Moffitt, Grant Enfinger, Kaz Grala y Buddy Kofoid se quedaron a fuera y no pararon en los pits, mientras que Todd Gilliland ganador de la segunda etapa y paro por neumáticos nuevos y combustible, reiniciando la carrera en la quinta posición. Brett Moffitt tuvo una pésima re arrancada, tanto así que fue penalizado por adelantarse al reinicio, lo cual se vio obligado a entrar a los pits y afecto sus aspiraciones para quedarse con la carrera. En la vuelta 113 salió la primera bandera de precaución de este segmento, causada por Bryson Mitchell de la camioneta 46, quien se quedó detenido en la pista, donde lo más probable es que fue por algún fallo mecánico. En la vuelta 125 el piloto de la camioneta 15 también se detuvo en la pista, mientras que más adelante en la vuelta 141 salió la tercera y última bandera de precaución, causada por el auto #24 de Jack Wood por un despiste en la curva 1. En el final de la carrera comenzó una batalla entre John Hunter Nemechek y Todd Gilliland, donde Gilliland tomo la primera posición a falta de 11 y no la soltó hasta la bandera a cuadros, logrando así la victoria. En el segundo lugar quedo John Hunter Nemechek, seguido por Zane Smith, Ty Majeski, Stewart Friesen, Derek Kraus, Matt Crafton, Grant Enfinger, Tyler Ankrum y Ben Rhodes (Top 10).

The third and final stage with the last 60 laps had its start, where drivers Brett Moffitt, Grant Enfinger, Kaz Grala and Buddy Kofoid stayed out and did not stop in the pits, while Todd Gilliland, winner of the second stage, stopped for new tires and fuel, restarting the race in fifth position. Brett Moffitt had a terrible restart, so much so that he was penalized for being ahead of the restart, which forced him to pit and affected his aspirations to win the race. On lap 113 came out the first caution flag of this segment, caused by Bryson Mitchell of the 46 truck, who was stopped on the track, where most likely it was due to some mechanical failure. On lap 125 the driver of pickup truck 15 also stopped on the track, while later on lap 141 came out the third and final caution flag, caused by the #24 car of Jack Wood due to a spin in turn 1. At the end of the race there was a battle between John Hunter Nemechek and Todd Gilliland, where Gilliland took the first position with 11 laps to go and did not let go until the checkered flag, achieving the victory. In second place was John Hunter Nemechek, followed by Zane Smith, Ty Majeski, Stewart Friesen, Derek Kraus, Matt Crafton, Grant Enfinger, Tyler Ankrum and Ben Rhodes (Top 10).

Las banderas de precaución en total fueron 9, donde 2 fueron para finalizar de segmento. La carrera fue bastante intersante, con grandes batallas por la primera posición y los demás lugares de la carrera, solo que me esperaba más cambios en el liderato, por las condiciones de la pista, pero no dejó de ser una gran carrera.

The race was quite interesting, with great battles for the first position and the other places in the race, I just expected more changes in the lead, due to the track conditions, but it was still a great race.
