Today, I’m sharing one of my recent works, a painting that holds a special connection to the bustling yet intimate life of Lagos. I’ve titled it A Gloomy Day in Lagos.

This artwork reflects a typical rainy day in the city, where the streets come alive with glistening reflections of lights, the signature yellow buses moving with purpose, and the quiet resilience of Lagosians as they navigate through the gloom. The deep blues represent the heaviness of the clouds, while the pops of yellow signify hope and vibrancy amidst the rain.
