Horizon Zero Dawn: The Proving.

I would like to talk about a chapter of Horizon Zero Dawn which is called The Proving where Aloy shows her skills for the proving so lets see if she win the proving or not.

Finally the day has come for what Aloy has been training from his early age. Yes, its the day of The Proving.
Aloy along with other participants was heading towards their starting point.

The quest was to climb up to the proving ground.
They had to climb a big and dangerous mountain in order to get to the first part of the proving.

I thought I'd have to climb the mountain as a part of the proving but no, they did it themselves in the cinematic.

And the all of them climbed the mountain.

It was Resh, who guarded the lodge last night and he was waiting for all the participants. He was still talking harsh to Aloy and he even said what will it take to get Aloy out of there, the man is jealous it seemed.

Now the very first quest for me was to kill a Grazer from all the running Grazers and I kept shooting them with my arrows but I wasn't sure what to do with them. Actually I had to loot a Proving Trophy after killing a Grazer.

Not just me, everyone had to get a Proving Trophy and then run to the finish line with the trophy and that's when the winner will be announced.

After shooting some Grazer, I've found the trophy from a loot.

The a******e Bast shot down my Trophy and it was shattered so I needed to loot another trophy. But while I was out of trophy, all the other participants already started running for the finishing line with their trophies.

So I didn't take long and I took another trophy and I started running as well.

Now I had to go to the start of the Brave trail which is the start of the runway and I went there in a very short time.

But it was already late as other participants already passed a long way and it was impossible for me to loose them in the way they took.

So Aloy stopped there for a moment and started to looking for an alternative way. There was an old man there who was demotivating Aloy that she can't take the alternative way.

But without thinking furthermore, Aloy jumped and started taking the danger way so that she can get to the finishing first and she was not thinking about the danger as its the only thing she was growing to do for.

Now I to run the abandoned brave trail and get to the finishing line first.
I did rope sliding and I climbed mountain.

At a point, there was the end of the abandoned way and its the cliff of a tree from where I jumped directly and Aloy herself threw a rope to that tree and climbed down through the rope.

Then I had to go through some more danger paths and at last I beat them right before the finishing line.

There was the Proctor waiting for the participants.

And Aloy put her trophy at the finishing line first and she was the actual winner.

Then Bast stood up and shouted that she didn't win and she cheated.
To be honest, I felt like killing him but the story didn't allow me to do that.

I thought the Proctor would cheat with Aloy as well but no.
Proctor: An outcast? Win the proving? Never. For she is a brave now.
It is Aloy, once outcast and now brave, who is first among you.

I understood that the proctor was not bad at all and Vala seemed happy for Aloy.

And the main twist began from there.

Some peoples started shooting arrows and started killing all the participants and the Proctor was killed first.

Then I started shooting them with my arrows but there were a lot of them so it was not that easy. At a point, they came down and I had to fight them from close.

At a point, there were few of them so our participants was trying to escape.

That's when that man came with a big gun and started shooting continuously and Vala died there.

Seeing Vala died, Bast ran to her and he died as well. There goes my chance of killing Bast although he became good before dying and he even saved Aloy for once before Vala died.

Now there is only me and I started attacking them and I thought I killed them all and the funny thing I discovered then.

I could use that big gun against all the enemies while I was using only the bow and killed them in a tough way and that's the funny thing I was talking about.

When looting the enemy leader, Aloy has found a focus on him and she took the focus.

And suddenly there came this unknown killer before Aloy could defend herself.

And the enemy was carrying Aloy by holding her neck towards the cliff of the mountain.

Then the enemy asked Aloy to turn her face to the sun and the enemy took out a knife and was about to slit the next of Aloy.

But the enemy couldn't as he was shot by an arrow.

Yay there came Rust to save Aloy.

Rost had a good fight with the enemy there while Aloy was laying on the ground and she was badly hurt.

Rost was weaker than the enemy so he lost and the enemy pierce the knife though Rosts chest while Aloy was watching but unable to do anything.

Aloy was put on the ground and Rost went unconscious.

Then the enemy ordered his peoples to burn the place along with the bodies.

The enemies brought a chariot with some barrels of explosives or oil maybe and they left the mountain.

Rost was still alive and the came to Aloy and his last job.

Rost threw Aloy out of the mountain and right after that, there was a huge blast and Rost was there probably burning. This scene was really heart-touching and I felt bad for Rost even I'm feeling bad for him while I'm writing this.

Aloy was falling towards the ground.

And she went into a flashback seeing her youngerself falling in the cave from where he's found her focus.

It was Teersa taking Aloy to safety from the falling it seems.

And Aloy was still in the flashback or in the dream. It looked like a nightmare.

She even saw Rost but that's not all.

She saw Rost suddenly turned into the High Matriarchs who don't like Aloy.

Then Rost again and was saying to Aloy that he was sorry.

And then she saw the enemy who killed Rost and was ordering Aloy to turn her face to the child while choking her neck.

And Aloy woke up holding her neck as if all of it was real.

She's find herself on a bed inside a mountain and she didn't have her bow and the focus.

Then Aloy understood that she must have been found before she bled out after Rost saved her.

And the quest was completed at that point.
