Yo tenía planeado hacer algo como tira comica por el día de San Valentin entre mi personaje frankches y Jessica, pero a veces cuando me pongo a recordar lo fastidioso que es tratar de mantener el diseño de los personajes en cada panel o viñeta se me quitan las ganas.

I had planned to do something like a Valentine's Day comic between my character frankches and Jessica, but sometimes when I get to remembering how annoying it is to try to keep the design of the characters in each panel, that I lose enthusiasm.

Then, going through my blog on my Steemit account I came across a drawing I had done when I was still drawing with my Samsung Galaxy S4 cell phone 5 years ago.

Así que para no hacer la tira comica preferí hacer un "REMAKE" o un "rediseño" de ese dibujo donde el personaje principal que es Jessica en una versión "chibi", fuese más fiel al diseño actual. Y antes de que yo mismo dijera "no se parece" me puse a visualizar bien y afirmar en que si, sí se parece solo que al no ocultarle el ojo la hace ver un "pelito" diferente porque está usando lentes (nadie lee algo con el cabello ocultando su ojo, a menos que sea tuerto)

So, in order not to make the comic I preferred to make a "REMAKE" or a "redesign" of that drawing where the main character who is Jessica in a "chibi" version, was more faithful to the current design. And before I said "it doesn't look like her" I started to visualize well and affirm that yes, it does look like her, only that not hiding her eye makes her see a different "little hair" because she is wearing glasses (nobody reads something with her hair hiding her eye, unless she is one-eyed).

Una rica merienda - A delicious snack

Hay unos cuantos cambios con respecto al diseño original que no pude hacer bien en su tiempo o me hubiese gustado aplicar pero siendo muy novato con el dibujo no pude y que terminé por cambiar/añadir porque me pareció más mejor:

• Las galletas fueron cambiadas, de chispas de chocolate a galletas como las "OREO" pero de mayor tamaño.

• La nevera fue actualizada, las nuevas neveras ya no las publicitan con un color totalmente blanco sino que a tiempos más recientes las que resaltan son las que se visualizan más con un color plata.

• Rellené más el fondo añadiendo una columna cerca de la nevera para aparentar de dividirlo de la cocina, un calendario y un gabinete de pared de cocina.

• Unos pequeño detalle menores pero la taza ahora es blanca y mejor diseñada además de que el mesón tiene un poquito de sombra.

• En el diseño original de Jessica, yo no tenía idea de como hacer las manos y la dirección los brazos, por lo que para no hacer los dedos hice que una mano estuviera apoyada en su mejilla y en la otra como vi que se veía sutilmente los dedos lo dejé así. En el remake acomodé la posición de los brazos y esta vez "me atreví más" en hacerle los dedos, solo que a diferencia del otro, cambié la posición en la que se apoyaba con la mejilla porque se me hacía más cómoda con el brazo izquierdo, mientras que con el derecho hice que estuviera sosteniendo una galleta.

• Mi personaje ahora sostiene el corazón que estaba en el texto o dialogo original y muestra mejor la expresión de que quiere un beso.

• Obviamente que quien tuvo un gran cambio fue Jessica, comenté sobre los brazos y las manos pero hay más cambios hecho en ella ya que no tiene todas esas líneas locas en su cabello, el flequillo fue invertido (que ella debía tenerlo es a esa dirección) además de tener un degradado, el color de los ojos dejaron de ser azules a pasar a grises, su color de piel fue corregido al igual que el cabello que anteriormente era totalmente naranja, la forma de los ojos ya no son tan grandes y pues, el cuerpo ya no están delgado.

Por si no quieren o no han visto el link del post de donde hice el dibujo, les dejo los dos diseños como comparativa. Ojo, que anteriormente yo no sabía de resoluciones por lo que el dibujo original es más pequeño que el rediseño.

Explanation in English

There are a few changes with respect to the original design that I could not do well at the time or I would have liked to apply but being very novice with the drawing I could not and that I ended up changing/adding because it seemed better:

• The cookies were changed from chocolate chip to OREO cookies but larger in size.
• The refrigerator was updated, the new refrigerators no longer advertise them with a totally white color but in more recent times the ones that stand out are the ones that are visualized more with a silver color.
• I filled in more of the background by adding a column near the refrigerator to appear to divide it from the kitchen, a calendar and a kitchen wall cabinet.
• A few minor details but the coffee cup is now white and better designed and the counter has a little bit of shade.
• In Jessica's original design, I had no idea how to make the hands and the direction of the arms, so in order not to make the fingers I had one hand resting on her cheek and on the other as I saw that the fingers were subtly visible, I left it like that. In the remake I adjusted the position of the arms and this time I "dared more" to make the fingers, only that unlike the other one, I changed the position in which he was leaning with his cheek because it was more comfortable with the left arm, while with the right one I made him holding a cookie.
• My character now holds the heart that was in the original text/dialogue and shows better the expression that she wants a kiss.
• Obviously who had a big change was Jessica, I commented on the arms and hands but there are more changes made in her since she doesn't have all those crazy lines in her hair, the bangs were reversed (she should have them in that direction) plus she has a gradient, the color of the eyes are no longer blue to go to gray, her skin color was corrected as well as the hair that was previously totally orange, the shape of the eyes are no longer so big and well, the body is no longer skinny.
