Look up

Last week I climbed the stairs to the castle.

It was a brilliant spring day, the hillside was bursting with wild flowers and bloomed almond trees.

The sun was shinning relentlessly!

I climbed the stairs and I looked up.

I looked up as nothing could hold me down. An unjustifiable sense of freedom overwhelmed me and guided my steps.

I looked up and I remembered the words of a woman that was deprived of her sight.

A woman blind and deaf that was more conscious and more aware than most people I know.

Never bend your head. Always hold it high. Look the world straight in the eye.
Helen Keller

There are times in life when we need to keep our head down. When we have to survive a dark period. Like a bear hibernating through winter. Those times are important, especially if we make good use of them and prepare ourselves for the upcoming spring.

Because the sun will come and it would be time to look up again.

I thought about this as I was climbing the stairs, taking pictures and gazing the scenery.

Camera in hand I was looking around as if I was looking into the book of my life.

Fleeing from the city that I grew up, the travels, the farm life, the dark and the light that led me here.

Today.

Looking up!

There's a season to living life. The time to look down and do things quietly and the season to look up to face the world.

The pictures taken are very beautiful. It is a perfect scenery to spend my day at.

Δεν τον ήξερα τον Facundo Cabral, τώρα άκουσα το "No soy de aquí ni soy de allá" και διάβασα το βιογραφικό του.
