Epic battles
This coastal view of pure, wild beauty, is called Kamarela and you can find it at the tiny island of Antikythera. The location lies between the Greek mainland and Crete, right on the point were the Ionian and the Aegean sea meet each other. We visited it on September 16th, the forth day of a trip that is still going on with an uncontrollable pace :)
As @traisto was descending the steps that lead to the sea, I was left in awe in front of the amazing scenery. The rocks and the sea in a passionate and furious combination have created a unique, breathtaking result!
For sure it is very far from a dreamy sandy beach but swimming here is a very special experience!
Can you spot @traisto in the picture above? She looks hardly any bigger than the rocks that are scattered all around. The feeling of walking down there is simply majestic. I don't think that I am good enough photographer to fully capture the grandness of the scenery.
Looking up or looking down beauty is all around. And if I am sharing so many pictures, is because I love them all :)
I still haven't seen the pictures that @traisto took but I am sure that I'll love them too!
I was thinking that a place like that, would have triggered some myths or legends, as it usually happens in Greece but I have found nothing of the kind. Nevertheless I was happy enough to sit on a rock and come up with stories of giants and ancient gods in epic battles :)

Thank you for stopping by! I am glad you like it :)
It's funny that I was wondering the same thing! I'm sure it must have had an impact somewhere, because that scenery is amazing!
It seemed logical but I haven't find anything, not even a crime of passion, or a romantic suicide :)
Beautiful👏✨
Thanks :)
😊
Yes, it is really amazing, this place looks like in an adventure movie about dragon lands😅 All the rocks are very majestic. The photo, the rock is taken from below, in order to show the height? it's always a bit hard to understand the height from a photo :) The hole in the rock with the incredible sun looks so interesting 😮 You make the sun clear in your photos so beautifully, I want to be able to do that too 🖤 it's very interesting that two seas meet there, how about you did you find out @fotostef?
Thank you very much @bugavi for your comment, I am glad you enjoyed my post! The trick with the sun is not something difficult. If you have a dslr you choose the most narrow aperture and just point to the sun. I learned it myself here on hive from another photographer :)
And here you can see the exact location of the island beteween the two seas!
This cozy bay amazes with its beauty! I love finding such secluded places in nature! Is it safe to swim there? Because while in Greece, I came across sharp stones and sea urchins!
It is a very special place indeed!
It is safe all right. With a little caution it is very accessible. Probably not the best place to bring children, though :)
