In the large and fascinating colourful worlds of video games, the landscapes are vast and full of detail. Their colours, flowers, grasses and skies create an incredible experience for the gamer who appreciates the time and effort that goes into making them, as well as the love of digital nature. But... I ask you, can you find a certain beauty in the incredible landscape of the Fallout universe? Can you perform the exercise of finding beauty in its appearance, going a bit outside your usual "beautiful landscape" criteria?

In this post, I'm going to try to detail and put you into my vision of why I find beauty in this universe.

Fallout brings the essence of a game that makes us think about the atrocities of the human being and how we are self-destructible, presenting us with a world destroyed by nuclear wars and how even if a large part of the population survives, there is no change, because... "war, war never changes". As we go through the tutorial, assuming the role of the doctor's son/daughter who escapes from the 101 shelter, we find this first impression of the outside.

This is where I pose the question, if you spent your whole life locked in metal walls, machines, cold underground and cold light, what impression would you get from going outside?

On the way out, well, I was shot and automatically acquired this case and put it on the character, but overlooking that fact, the details of the destroyed streets, the dry trees and grasses already give us a preview of the perspective we will get of the world later on. The details are perfectly careful and manages to convey that essence of a world assumed to be in total chaos.

As we continue along the destroyed roads, we find a wrecked car and a wrecked car, and climbing a little up the rocks on the sides, I came across this view, which further clarifies our view of the world. And from here my perspective is to find the beauty in that context, to enjoy the small moments of view, and even though it sounds polemic, "the art" left by the war, the destruction, its palette of colours. This poster is a pre-war reference of how they encouraged the purchase or acquisition of a shelter during a war, it's great how they illustrate it.

Continuing on my way, I come across a destroyed ghost town. The refuelling station and its ancient appearance with the destruction complements itself excellently in the environment, totally deteriorated, rusted, broken and somehow over time preserved. In other worlds the nature absorbs the constructions, here thanks to the radiation and sun exposure they are still visible.

Take another capture next to the village and observe the art of destruction, and how beautiful it is to be able to imagine scenarios in those spaces, children running, cars circulating, how many images created in the mind...

To give a pause to the tour we see this contrast in the view, as the red colour invites us to approach the sector intentionally and discover locations. Following that path creates a connection with a fallen road and leads us to the landscape of the last image, where by a limitation of the road there is a lake and in the distance we can see the centre of what we assume to be Washington D. C. The pause is necessary in this game because together with the sound of the environment, its music and everything is related and makes us somehow nostalgic to go through places and feel the beauty of that view (remember the context). That's why I recommended you at the beginning to listen to the music and read the post to get a little closer to my experience. I hope you like it, see you soon dear gamer reader.

Thanks for the advice and comment, I had had to add more for the downtown area but I thought it was some abuse or something at cas. I will take it into account for a next one.
