Mushroom Stroganoff Recipe
So, the new week has been started once again. September is going strong till now. Let's see what this month brings new things in my life. Just hopping for good for everybody out there. I always pray for others before myself. This is so much relief if we see.
I recorded the very first recipe of September 2-3 days ago where I tried something very simple yet delectable recipe to feed my foodie husband who always wanted me to try something new for him. This is why I always go for numerous options where I got succeeded sometime and failed some times. This is how a food blogger learn from their mistakes while prepping and practicing. I'm not new to this field but still I make mistakes like everyone else makes.
So, this is pretty good and simple recipe but you won't stop eating this once tried. I tried with minimal ingredients which you will get to know later in this post. Stay tuned and let's go with me...
Mushroom Stroganoff
Mushroom Stroganoff originated from Russia but they made with beef but it equally tastes so good if you try with Mushrooms. Btw, this dish named is after one of the members of the influential Stroganov family. This dish is so light in eating and creamy in texture. Its a MUST TRY.
Let's get started with recipe:
⚡️ Ingredients:
Name | Quantity | |
---|---|---|
Button Mushrooms | 150g | |
Fresh Cream | 1/2 cup | |
Salt | to taste | |
Black Pepper | 1tsp | |
Onion | 1PC | |
Mustard Paste | 1/2tsp | |
Worcestershire Sauce | 1tsp | |
Oil & Butter | 1tbsp each | |
lemon | 1/2tsp |
Method:
First off, you need to prepare a sour cream which is must-have ingredient in this recipe. I prepared it by myself. I added half teaspoon lemon in 1/2 up fresh cream and set aside for good half an hour.
Prepare steamed rice beforehand. Just soak the Basmati Rice and boil it with some salt and parsley then set aside.
Noe prepare the mushroom sauce. For this, take a fry pan, add oil and butter then sauté sliced cut onion for good 3-4 minutes
Add sliced cut mushrooms and caramelised it till golden brown colour.
Add prepared sour cream along with mustard paste and Worcestershire sauce and mix altogether very well.
Add desired amount of water so the sauce can become runny.
Now add salt and freshly ground pepper to the pan and mix it. Turn off the flame and serve with steamed rice and enjoy.
Hope you enjoyed this post thoroughly as much as I enjoyed making it.
Enjoy❣️

Mushrooms recipes and eating fishes are not famous and well-known in my area but I have also eaten mushrooms as my father brought them. These are very tasty. Thanks for sharing a wonderful recipe.
Good to know.
I haven’t ever tried any mushroom recipe. Perhaps because my husband and kids are reluctant to try new tastes. They have so.e favorites and they just want the same things.
I am thinking the taste with beef would be entirely different as compared to mushroom, wouldn't it?
Have you tried it in beef? How was that?
Nah, I always tried with Mushroom not beef. We hardly eat beef dishes.
Which country are you from?
Pakistan
A Pakistani doesn't use beef. Hmmmmm 🤔
Lately,my doctor told me to must have read meat for avoiding vitamin B12 deficiency.
By the way, I am also from Pakistan
