Chicken Khow Suey
Hello Foodies,
Today, I came with an amazing dish knows as Khow Suey which simply means rice noodles in the Burmese language as this dish is originated from Burma, Maynmar which is located in India. I tried this dish for the very first time and it turned millions times good than my expectations. I was confused that how it will turned out as I never tried coconut curry before. This recipe is a combination of Chicken Gravy and Coconut Curry along with Spaghetti.
Chicken Khow Suey
This is Spicy version of Chicken Khow Suey which comes from East India with people who migrated during World War II. It originated in Burma, Myanmar. Its a noodle soupy dish with a lot of condiments. This recipe has got many parts to prepare to make a single bowl of this soupy noodle which you can see in the picture. I honestly loved it a lot. I even had 3 consecutive meal of it. Just LOVED IT! <3
Let's get started with recipe:
⚡️ Ingredients:
For Coconut Curry:

Coconut Milk | 1 cane | |
Gram Flour | 2tbsp | |
Yogurt | 3tbsp | |
Salt | to taste | |
Cumin Seeds | 1tsp | |
Turmeric Powder | 1tsp | |
Red Pepper | 1tsp | |
Red Chilli Flakes | 1tsp | |
Water | 1 litre |
💫 Method:
First off, take a bowl, add all dried spices along with yogurt and gram flour and mix it with the whisk by adding one glass of water
Take a Karahi, add coconut milk and let it boil then add mixture of curry and let it cook on medium flame for about an hour or until it gets thicken a bit
When you see it gets thick a bit or as per your desired consistency, turned off the flame and set aside
For Chicken Gravy:

Green Chillies | 2-3 chopped | |
Ginger & Garlic Paste | 1tbsp | |
Salt | to taste | |
Cumin Seeds | 1tsp | |
Coriander Powder | 1tsp | |
Turmeric Powder | 1tsp | |
Red Pepper | 1tsp | |
Red Chilli Flakes | 1tsp | |
Water | as needed | |
Curry Leaves | 8.10 | |
Tomatoes Puree | 3tbsp | |
Oil | 4tbsp |
💫 Method:
Cut the boneless chicken into cubes, chopped the onion and green chillies and set aside
Make a puree of 2 tomatoes and set aside
Turn on the flame, put a fry pan onto the stove and add oil, curry leaves, and chopped onions and let it roast until light golden colour
Now add ginger garlic paste and sauté well
Add tomatoes puree and chopped green chillies to the pan along with all spices and let it cook for a while
Now add chicken cubes and roast very well
At the end, add 1 cup of water to cook the chicken gravy very well

💫 Method:
Take a serving bowl, add boiled noodles first then add coconut curry and chicken gravy
Now add fried garlic, boiled eggs, slimes, and lemon. You can customise the toppings as per your liking and enjoy!
