Maintenance day

Hi everyone!
I hope you're all doing well, despite the heavy rain that's been hitting Rio de Janeiro this week.
Although the bad weather has kept me from cycling, I took the opportunity to give my bike some TLC, something I loved doing when I was a teenager.
Last week, I bought some accessories to improve the performance of my "magrela" (Portuguese slang for bike) and today I was able to install some of them:

Espero que todos estejam bem, apesar das chuvas que têm castigado o Rio de Janeiro nesta semana.
Embora o mau tempo tenha me impedido de pedalar, aproveitei para dar um trato na minha bicicleta, algo que eu adorava fazer quando era adolescente.
Na semana passada, comprei alguns acessórios para melhorar a performance da magrela e hoje pude instalar alguns deles:

• Rear and front speed derailleur

• Chain

• Crankset
  

• Headlight and taillight with brake sensor

• Seatpost and seat
  

• Headset
  

• Cassete Speed
  

Swapping out the parts was easy, but I still need specific tools to change the bottom bracket, pedals, and cassette. I've already bought the tools online and they should arrive next week.

A troca das peças foi tranquila, mas ainda preciso de ferramentas específicas para trocar a caixa de movimento central, os pedais e o cassete. Já comprei as ferramentas online e elas devem chegar na próxima semana.

My bike is simple and heavy, but it's been serving me very well, exceeding my expectations. With these small improvements, I hope to have a more relaxed, efficient and safe ride.
Next week, I plan to install the remaining parts and finally cycle from home to Grumari Beach in Recreio dos Bandeirantes. It will be a new challenge and I'm excited to beat my personal record!

Minha bicicleta é simples e pesada, mas tem me atendido muito bem, superando minhas expectativas. Com essas pequenas melhorias, espero ter um pedal mais tranquilo, eficiente e seguro.
Na próxima semana, pretendo instalar as peças faltantes e finalmente pedalar de casa até a praia de Grumari, no Recreio dos Bandeirantes. Será um novo desafio e estou ansioso para bater meu recorde pessoal!
