The Curation-Cartel: !1UP Trigger, Smart Voting Mana And High Delegation Returns For 14 Different Tribes
There is much happening in the @oneup-cartel each day: with operators playing and scouting games, with articles and videos (and soon live-streams) being prepared by an editorial, with investments into games and communities, with curation for many Hive-Engine tokens via the @curation-cartel and with developments like our new Discord bot with a smart voting system to best use our voting power. It never gets boring!
The @Curation-Cartel
The Cartel is running a curation service for most of the different tribe communities on HIVE, those tokens that can be staked and delegated to other accounts. We offer a 95% return of the daily generated curation rewards, for scouting and upvoting posts and using the voting mana of all those different tokens as good as possible - both in efficiency as well as using that power responsibly.

The !1UP Trigger And Smart Voting
To achieve that herculean task of curating all those tribes, we developed our 1UP voting bot, where whitelisted HIVE users can trigger our curation accounts via a comment under a post (or under a comment) on HIVE. Our bot will then scan the post for all eligible tags and sends the according curation accounts to upvote it with a default value and write a comment with information about the voting accounts.
To make best use of our voting mana, the bot will queue all votes for each curation account and delay them until the moment their voting mana reaches 100% voting mana. Ideally, it should keep our voting mana always between 98% and 100%. Additionally it will scale the default vote value down if too many votes queue up.
This enables a very easy and straight forward curation for us, while maintaining the highest efficiency for earning curation rewards. This allows us to pay our delegators higher rewards, than what they would earn by voting themselves, despite our 5% fees.
The Cartel is currently earning about 17,000 ONEUP from @oneup-curator and 45,000 SPT from @monster-curator per month through the fees, just to name our two largest accounts. This is a massive and constant stream of tokens entering the Cartel treasury.
1UP Discord Bot
@kwskicky created a super cool Discord bot for us that allows us to observe our current curation accounts. It has a bunch of commands that you can find in the official post:

Below you see a screenshot from the !curators command, where you see the current $ value of our incoming delegations. And we are growing daily.
We can observe our voting power via !allmana to see all our accounts at once. Below you see a screenshot from before and after we activated our new smart voting bot, which should keep our voting mana between 98% and 100%. This will allow us to create the highest revenue possible with our delegated power.:

Communities Working Together
We are interested to work hand-in-hand with the communities themselves and create partnerships like with the CINE token, in which we are investing and where we also offered access to our 1UP trigger to their own curators. There is more brewing with the CINE team in the background.
The hardest part about being able to curate so many tribes at once is to make sure that tag abuse will not be rewarded and each used community tribe tag is well-placed. We are all still learning in that regard and try to improve our efforts day by day. You can always reach out to us to help improving what we are doing.

The CineTV team is on top of that, and all of us are on the lookout for those abusing the tags, and we as a team are also discussing what should be allowed and whatnot for the guidelines we are going to set up. For now, it's a team effort and decision but we are defo making sure we protect the CINE token by putting a halt to abusers/milkers.

You are right, I have been putting STEM on my agenda as well. I just didn't get to it yet and I didn't want to step on the toes of the STEM community for starting curating science content without proper knowledge. We would need to hire a new curator first, who is specialized on the topic.
Not sure how things work but @enforcer48 does a lot of STEM curation already. Not sure if he might be interested or you would either. He is one of the official curators.
STEM is very broad as it encompasses anything science, technology, engineering, and math. There's no way one person can be specialized in all of them.
Like @themarkymark says, I already do a lot of curating for STEMGeeks.
STEM has linear curation. Half of the author rewards are burned if they aren't using https://stemgeeks.net/ to post.
We generally do not downvote as a form of moderation. We can cancel rewards at the post level and escalate as needed. So, if you have made a mistake curating, just let people know and it'll be handled.
I just checked the date, I created @stem-curator already on 12/13/21. Just need to activate it now. Let's go!!!
Edit: Activated and running. Now we just need to figure out how STEM rules works, how curation rewards are paid out etc.

If you have delegated to one of the curation accounts do you get upvotes or only if you own cartel tokens?
You neither get upvotes when you have delegated nor when you own CARTEL. The upvotes are for good content from anyone.

I love the bot and I'm curious to know how it is going to work. Curation is hardest part but when we work hand-in-hand towards the same goal, it is easy to complete the project.

That's not at all how it works.
You cannot use the 1UP trigger. Only a few selected people can. You have no influence over that other than creating good content.
Delegating to our curation services earns you passive income. Never upvotes.

I've been delegating some MEME tokens to @meme-curator for quite some while.
The last delegation reward I received from it was almost a month and a half ago, on April 3rd, 2023.
Why is that so? Who is taking my piece of share and why?
I can see that the other delegators are paid daily on a regular basis. Why not me?
What's going on, and what's wrong?
I also checked some other of your curation accounts and found the following.
Hey, thanks for your detailed research. Vibes is dead, we don't even run the account any more. Pal is nearly dead and people dont use the tag any longer. Rewards are staked and need to be unstaked for distribution. I will simply deactivate the account because it makes no sense any more. Vyb is active but also has the rewards staked and need to be unstaked regularly. Apparently this was barely done before. I will start a new powerdown, then rewards will go out once a week. It doesn't really work differently.
So those tribes with staked rewards are impractical as curation accounts and we should probably stop them all.
And Meme is an odd case. I need to investigate your share. Could be RC issues or your delegation is below the threshold, so percentage cannot be properly calculated and result in 0.00X%, which is depricated from payouts.

Regarding MEME, I'm quite sure it isn't a threshold issue, as I saw people with 10x smaller delegation receiving their rewards regularly. (I delegated 3K Meme tokens about 2 months ago, and didn't received a single dime.)

I have checked meme-curator and we were running low on RCs. This let to smaller delegaters like yourself being cut off during the daily payouts. I have delegated more RC and it should be enough now. As a thank you for pointing it out, I have sent you 3000 MEME, basically doubling your stake.
