Week 226-A Person That Is Planned for You
If my husband and I were in the mood to tease each other, we always looked back on our past and went down memory lane on all the chances that we could not end up together.
Tabogon, one of the places found in Visayas, was the hometown of my father and my husband was born here but I was born in one of the places of Mindanao which was far from my father’s hometown. If we did not transfer If we did not transfer here on my father’s side, there would be no chance that my husband and I would end up together. So, sometimes, we used our birthplace to joke about our relationship.
Another thing was the previous curriculum in our country. Back when we were studying the basic curriculum, it was not required to study daycare. But even though, I studied daycare twice because my mother wanted me to attend classes early and since my age was not accepted for basic education, she enrolled me twice for a daycare class located near our house. On the other hand, my husband intended to enroll first in a daycare class near his house, but the basic education class started early compared to the daycare class, so my mother-in-law asked permission from the teacher to let my husband just stay for her class until the daycare class will open. Yet, when the daycare class was open, my husband did not want to transfer to another class since he enjoyed studying together with his classmates and the teacher also let him join the class because he was knowledgeable for his age, and he could easily understand the lesson. In the end, he did not experience enrolling in daycare classes and was promoted directly to basic education. If only he enrolled in daycare class, there would be a chance that we would not be classmates in high school.
For me, a soulmate is someone who is intended to be in your life no matter what. Just like my husband and I, as I stated above, there were many instances where we could not end up together, but here we are now, still teasing and giving headaches to each other.
I think I have no choice but to believe that there’s a soulmate. The given examples were the reason and there are lots of reasons that I should believe that there’s a soulmate which I did not include in this post. Maybe, I’ll share it soon.
