Sublime Sunday-What We did Last September 8, 2024 (Part 2)

Good day, Hiveans! I hope you’re fine while reading my blog today. This is the last day of September 2024. I hope you had a fruitful experience this month and will have another full of adventures next month.

Yesterday, I shared my first activity on that date, and now I want to share the second activity that I did.

After preparation, we traveled directly to Capelinha De Fatima to attend the mass. My husband was very focused on the road because we would be late if there were disturbances during the travel. The mass we planned to attend started at 10:30 a.m., and we started traveling at 9:40 a.m. So, we were running out of time.

It was too hot when we arrived at the place. I thought that there would be fewer people in the shrine, but I was wrong. There were lots of visitors in the area who wanted to celebrate the birth of Our Mother Mary. The parking space was almost full, and the visitors were not commonly local but came from other parts of Cebu. It was not a surprise since the place is very famous.

When my husband parked the car well, we went to the shrine and found a chair. Since there were lots of people in the area, all of the chairs were used. We decided to sit on the bench. The benches are made of cement and since it was a hot day, it was expected that the bench would not in room temperature. To avoid the direct heat, we also brought an umbrella.

We were not late, since we waited for the priest to arrive, and the mass started at 11:00 am. During the mass, we experienced a sudden rain. I had a short dip of seawater to remedy my cough before we attended the mass, and then I had a little shower from the rain, and the cough was expected to return. I had no complaints since rain is a blessing too.

Luckily, the rain stopped when the mass was almost finished. After the mass, I took pictures, but I only shared one in this post since most of the pictures I got were capturing shadows that I will post later. I decided to capture some shadows since I already shared in my previous post the beauty of Capelinha De Fatima.

I was amazed by the outcome of the photo.

After the mass, we went to 7/11 located in San Remegio to have takeout food because there was no available parking space in the said area.

We took our lunch inside the car then we went home immediately. That was how I spent the birthday of Mother Mary.
