My Husband is Studying at YouTube University

Good day, Hiveans! I hope you’re fine while reading my blog. I hope you’re safe from the whole day of rain last Thursday. Last Thursday, we experienced rain causing our neighborhood to experience a flood. We were very alert at that time. We prepared our things and did the precautions activities to make less damage. We were hoping it would not reach our house and luckily, it did not. The good thing was that the rain stopped and did not extend yesterday.

I shared in one of my posts that my husband knows how to drive a motorcycle bike since he was 12 years old. One of the reasons why his dream job was to be a mechanic. He wanted to take up the course majoring in Automotive technology at one of the universities in Cebu. Unfortunately, his family liked a course that had a professional exam, and an automotive technology course was not part of the choice. Being an understanding son and thinking his parents were covering the college expenses, he had no right to complain then.

He finished his degree and got the job. But he still has an interest in vehicles. When he owned his first motorcycle bike, together with his friend, they did their best to study the said vehicle. Most of the time, they take note of all the necessary things that the mechanics did so that they can fix the small problems of the said vehicle. My husband’s skills in repairing the parts of the said vehicle are trusted. He already studied it since he was young until he was able to afford one.

But I never thought that he had an idea about the four-wheel vehicle. We purchased our four-wheel vehicle last year. A month later, we experienced the tire flat. It was when my brother’s birthday and we were traveling to another barangay for the celebration. The place where it happened was away from the main road and I’m sure the vulcanizing shop was meters away when we encountered the problem. Luckily, he already bought all the basic tools necessary. He replaced the flat tire with the spare tire. Witnessing that makes me wonder how he was able to fix it when he had no experience with automobiles. He learned most of it from watching YouTube videos.

He not only knows how to replace a tire but knows how to fix a flat tire! According to him, since the tire is tubeless, he only needs the sealant available in the D.I.Y store.

Last Saturday, one of the reasons we were not able to watch the jet ski race was he was busy finding the main cause of the tire and why it always flats after 2 weeks in use. He discovered the problem that needed the replacement of the tire valve.

Thanks to the YouTube videos. He is the evidence that some skills can be learned from online videos on YouTube or other social media platforms.
