I Got My Passport

Good day, Hiveans! I hope you’re fine while reading my blog today. Today, I want to share my experience while claiming my passport.

It happened the last week of September 2024. The said date was special to us as a married couple. It was the date that we celebrated once a year as a couple. Though we had worked on the said date, we asked permission to take a leave for a triple purpose: to get my passport, the second attempt to apply for a passport for my husband, and to celebrate our special day. The focus of the post will be all about claiming my passport, the rest will be posted on another blog.

We woke up not very early since the place of the release of passports will open at 10 am. The travel time from our place to Cebu City is three to four hours. We just ate bread that we bought before our travel time and decided to have our breakfast when we felt hungry while traveling.

As we traveled, my husband decided to have breakfast at Jollibee, Liloan Cebu. The place was so busy at that time that we needed to wait for 30 minutes for our order. Since we were not very hungry at that time, we were willing to wait at the given time.

When we were done, we traveled directly to Robinson Galleria, Cebu since it is the place for releasing a passport.

Honestly, it was our first time visiting the place using our minivan. My husband was not familiar with the area when we arrived at Robinson Galleria, we roamed around looking for a parking space until we found it and realized that it was easy. Well, it was our first, and I’m sure it will be easy next time.

Good thing we parked near the entrance of the mall, that it was not hard to get inside. When we were inside, we asked the guard on duty about the office of the Department of Foreign Affairs to claim my passport and he told us kindly the directions. The location is on the third floor of the mall. When I was on the first floor, I was amazed by the arrangement of the store since when I set foot on the first floor, I saw lots of stores selling food. I love eating and when I see the food, I’m in a good mood.

But our focus was the DFA office, so even though I saw lots of food, I controlled myself and went directly to the said office. Unfortunately, when the guard of the office asked my concern and asked if I brought the requirements necessary to claim the document, I was shocked because I thought, I just needed ID to get the document and I left my receipt inside the car.

I had no choice but to return to the parking lot because my husband was not in good condition on long walks since he injured himself while doing some work for the car. I will share it in my next post too.

It was fine for me since the parking space was near and I like to roam the area too.

Claiming the passport was not hard. I just need to bring the receipt and ID, and it will be released immediately.

I was so happy that I was able to claim my passport smoothly.

Thank you for reaching this far. If you want to inspire, learn, and witness beautiful scenery, experiences, and places, do not forget to follow, upvote, and reblog my post to support and motivate me to write more. Thank you.
