Giving Back the Kindness (The Unexpected Meet-up with My Cousins Part 2)
Good day, Hiveans! Accepting help from someone will not make you low, it means you realize that there are things you cannot do, and you have limitations in your life. As the saying goes, “No man is an island”.

Today, I want to share the continuation of my meet-up with my cousins.
Aside from wanting to have a get-together activity with my cousins, I convinced them to have a short stroll, I also wanted to return the kindness I received from them.
When I was young, my cousins always gave me gifts material things, or money. When they visit our hometown, they will not forget to bring souvenirs “pasalubong” for us. We were excited every time they came because we knew they would not come empty-handed. Our house was lively when they were around. In addition, my cousins love to go to different places in our hometown and I’m happy I can tag along with them. I love exploring different places but am not brave enough to do it alone. The best part of their visit was when it was time for my cousins to go home because they had work, they left a small amount of money for us, to use as an allowance. When we woke up, my brother and I would ask if they already left and would ask for the money they left too. The money would be used as my savings.
I still remember it was my graduation from high school, and I wanted a new dress. My cousins called me, and they would love to buy me a dress as my congratulatory gift for my graduation. The problem was the size of the dress, they lived in Mandaue City, kilometers away from our hometown. They told me to travel to their place and we could shop for a dress. I was sixteen and had no experience of riding alone in a bus, in addition, I’m not good in direction. Luckily, we already have a phone to use for communication. They told me to ask a person who was an assistant of the driver of the bus to drop me off at one of the malls in Mandaue City, and they would fetch me there. Since I wanted to experience traveling alone, I’m brave enough to accept the idea. I’m very thankful to them for the dress they shopped for me and the new experience I experienced. This is why I’m not afraid to ride on the bus and travel alone in the city.
Now that I’m an adult and have work, I want to treat them too. I asked them where they wanted to go. They answered they wanted to experience it again passing the Cebu Cordova Link Expressway (CCLEX). Wish granted. We passed the CCLEX but did not get documentation since we’re busy catching up.
After passing the CCLEX my cousins also wanted to visit the 10, 000 roses of Cordova. We pose for photos and my husband is always the photographer. My cousins were very happy with the experience they had. Seeing them happy makes me proud of myself that the time already came that I could share blessings with them the same as they share their blessings with me and my family.
I decided to have a dinner treat at SM City Cebu where the Ribshack is located. It is another fast-food chain with unlimited rice. They like the place too.
We ended our meet-up by sending them to the place where they stayed.
It was a very fulfilling day; we went home late. I thought it was just one of my ordinary days but turns out to be extraordinary.
