Holozing Grass Racoon Fan Art Sculpture [ENG-ESP]

Hello Friend how are you? I hope everyone is doing very well, this time I want to show how I made a small sculpture of the Grass Racoom creature from the game Holozing, it is a creature that I really liked, since it has part of the earth element and it is a figure with a great design, it has an aggressive attitude that I love. I made this sculpture using aluminum cans and cardboard, I made it small so that it could decorate my work desk. Let's get started!

Hola amigos, que tal? espero que todos estén muy bien, esta vez quiero mostrar como hice una pequeña escultura de la criatura Grass Racoom del juego Holozing, es una criatura que me gustó mucho, ya que tiene parte del elemento tierra y es una figura con un diseño genial, tiene una actitud agresiva que me encanta. Esta escultura la hice utilizando latas de aluminio y cartón, la hice d euna tamaño pequeño para que así adorne mi escritorio de trabajo. Comencemos!

I tried to make the templates by mixing different animal parts, like a cat pose, but also squirrel parts, since I think his head looks like a squirrel's. So using several 3D models in the PEPAKURA program I was able to extract the parts. Then I will cut out each template to remove each piece.

Trate de hacer las plantillas mezclando diferentes partes de animales, como la pose de un gato, pero también parte de ardilla, ya que creo que su cabeza se parece a la de una ardilla. Así que utilizando varios modelos 3D en el programa PEPAKURA pude ir sacando las partes. Luego cada plantilla la recortare para sacar cada pieza.

I started first with the head, which in this case there are two main pieces. I had forgotten to list the templates to follow an order, so at first I didn't know how to start, until after a few hours I was able to recognize the templates and the head pieces.

Comencé primero por la cabeza, que en este caso las piezas principales son dos. Se me había olvida enumerar las plantillas para seguir un orden, así que en un principio no supe como comenzar, hasta que al cabo de unas horas pude reconocer las plantillas y las piezas de la cabeza.

The next step was to make the rest of the parts of the head and shape it, cut out the ears, the part where the nose and mouth go, and finally I added the neck. As you can see, it is made of few pieces but it is quickly taking shape.

El siguiente paso fue hacer el resto de las partes de la cabeza y así darle forma, corte las orejas, la parte donde va la nariz y la boca, y para finalizar agregué el cuello. Como pueden ver es de pocas piezas pero rápido va tomando forma.

Then I start to shape what the limbs are, I made this one as if he could walk on 4 legs, instead of standing upright like in the original design. So I cut the templates, glued them on top of the can and then molded it. To mold better I used a pen without ink, and thus sink the aluminum along the lines that are drawn on the templates.

Luego comienzo a moldear lo que son las extremdades, esta las hice como si él pudiera caminar en 4 patas, en lugar de hacerlo erguido como en el diseño original. Así que corté las plantillas, las pegué encima de la lata y luego la fui moldeando, para moldear mejor utilicé un bolígrafo sin tinta, y así hundir el aluminio por las líneas que estan dibujadas en las plantillas.

The next step was to make the back and the other limbs, here I had to make another kind of templates because the first ones were not the right size, so I had to make another design so that the total size of the figure would not vary much. Lastly I added the tail.

En el siguiente paso fue hacer la espalda y las otras extremidades, aquí debí hacer otra clase de plantillas porque las primeras no quedaron del tamaño acorde, así que tuve que hacer otro diseño para que el tamaño total de la figura no variara mucho. Por último agregué la cola.

To finish, I made the eyes and painted all the parts to give life to the sculpture. I also added to the head the detail of the tree branch that has the original design as well as that part that looks like a shoulder protector. This is how it was finished.

Para finalizar hice los ojos y pinté todas las partes para darle vida a la escultura. También agregué en la cabeza el detalle de la rama de árbol que tiene el diseño original como así tambien esa parte que parece protector de hombros. Así quedó finalizado.

I tried to preserve its essence but at the same time give it a slightly different touch, I hope you liked it, for my part I also want to continue making more sculptures and for new creatures to emerge. Que les ha parecido esta pequeña escultura? traté de conservar su esencia pero a la vez dándole un toque algo diferente, espero que les haya gustado, por mi parte tambien deseo seguír haciendo mas esculturas y que salgan nuevas criaturas.
